Behaviour Consultant Kerry Shaw is a qualified behaviour specialist with over 20 years’ experience. Kerry has also worked as a 1:1 therapist and as a case supervisor presiding over a small team of therapists. Kerry and her team of experienced and passionate professionals at Horizon Hub, provide dedicated intervention for children and young people aged between 2 years to young adult, who are diagnosed with, or presenting with a range of conditions associated with Autism (ASC) and other additional needs, including behavioural & emotional difficulties and language delay. Our main focus is to help families whose lives are affected by a wide range of behavioural, learning & emotional challenges associated with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We provide a variety of bespoke support relevant to the individual needs of the child/young person and we teach how to implement appropriate strategies for learning and regulation. * Pre-schoolers
- programmes are tailored to prepare your pre-schooler for nursery/primary school and sessions include development of learning to learn skills, waiting, sitting, attending and all essential schooling skills. We help and support your pre-schooler in the transition from home to school learning.
* Pre-schoolers & Primary school ages
- an intensive 1 to 2 day 1:1 package tailored to the individual child/family's needs with regular remote follow-up sessions.
* All ages
- regular weekly bespoke sessions/packages at home, school and out in the community, tailored specifically to the child/young person's individual needs. Development of:-

Sessions are devised to develop skills & manage any challenging behaviours and include strategies such as emotional regulation and positive reinforcement. We focus an all areas of development including communication/language development, social skills and self help skills with the main focus being on gaining as much independence as possible. We also provide support and training for parents and school staff. Sessions are also tailored specifically to work around family life and to support individual needs. Sessions are carried out at Horizon Hub premises and can also be arranged to take place in school, at home and out in the Community where appropriate. Follow up support can also be arranged where necessary. We strongly believe in a holistic approach and as such pride ourselves on the flexibility of working alongside any existing client teams and other specialists or therapists, so that together, we can form the best possible service for each and every child.
