Do you have or do something that no longer serves you?
These are my well-worn UGG slippers.
I’ve had them many years and I used to love them, but I really don’t anymore, they’re actually uncomfortable.
So why haven’t I bought a new pair?
I can tell you, it’s because I have some stories in my head…
🤔 They are good enough…
💷 It’s a luxury to have Ugg slippers, you should settle for some cheaper ones.
🛍 When you have earned £X amount, you can have new slippers
When I reflect on these thoughts, there’s a deeper story, one that says you aren’t good enough, you’re not worthy, you don't desire them.
So even though I am a coach, that helps people understand how their brain works to drive their wellbeing and performance, I still have stories and my stories can keep me stuck in discomfort, in a place where I don’t belong.
But I have awareness, understanding and the tools to challenge my stories to recognise where they come from, and to create new ones.
What stories do you have about yourself, other people or the world?
Do they keep you stuck in discomfort, dissatisfaction, or distress?
Are you stuck in a place you don’t belong?
I’ve just placed an order for a new pair of Ugg slippers, I chose to listen to my kind and compassionate inner voice rather than the one that judges and belittles me.
Once you become aware of something you have the power to change it.
If you’re struggling with feeling stuck? I can help you.

The nervous system is essential core territory for understanding how our body state influences our brain and behaviour. Think about these two scenarios for a moment.Scenario AYou had a...

I have always been aware of the impact of ‘stress’ on my physical and mental health, however, it wasn't until I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2005 that I realised the extent to which stress had taken it’s toll. My journey in understanding wellness started around this time, and in 2012 my research lead me to the work of Dr Stuart Shanker and Self-Reg.
‘Shanker Self-Reg® is a powerful method for understanding stress and managing tension and energy flow in order to support mindful self-regulation.’
I am a facilitator for the Self-Reg method and this training provides the framework of my approach to educating people about the nature of stress, how to reduce it and how to manage it in healthy ways.
My background as an educator in London and the USA means I have a wealth of experienced teaching a range of audiences, providing thought provoking, interactive and helpful workshops and coaching sessions. I work with individuals and businesses, providing workplace wellbeing training and one to one coaching sessions.
