Harrogate Neighbours We provide outstanding care and support services to the elderly in Harrogate and the surrounding areas.

Harrogate Neighbours runs two of the best elderly care homes in Harrogate and the surrounding area. The Cuttings is our extra care housing in Starbeck, which offers independent living and 24 hour support as well as a new Day Care centre for elderly people to come and socialise. Heath Lodge is our residential home in Boroughbridge, which offers additional care for those with dementia. We also support our community through Greenfield Court Care, a highly rated home care service for those who want to stay at home but need a bit of help, and our meals on wheels service which delivers hot, fresh meals to elderly or vulnerable people 5 days a week. Finally, we have our Community Hub, dedicated to serving the local area with support and help.

When our Communications Manager Jamie asked AI to put him in a casino, we had hoped it would at least give him a big pile of winnings and a better hairline. Oh well, we guess some realism should remain!

As March approaches, so do our Spring activities! We are hosting a trio of events in March and April that help us to continue to provide excellent care and support to elderly people all over Harrogate!

Our Padel tournament has officially sold out, but keep your eyes peeled, as we are already talking about doing more...

Finally, our Casino night takes place on the 11th April, and is a brilliant way of supporting Harrogate Neighbours and having fun at the same time. Perfect for friends, families and businesses.

There is no 'Z' in 'POND'!!!👩‍🏫😠

Our Gardening Club is setting out to make some mosaics to decorate our pond.

However, in the aftermath of smashing plates and other unwanted crockery, we found a 'Z' in the line-up of our signage. 🤯🤯🤯

Thankfully, young Olivia pointed out our error: "Just turn it around!" And, as if by magic, the erroneous 'Z' became the required 'N'! (Sometimes we all need the wisdom of a six-year-old.) 💫🙂

It's and we've fed the sourdough starter, waited for it to rise and baked a perfect loaf of rye bread. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

This loaf may seem humble but it has great nutritional value, much more protein and a lot less additives than mass-produced loaves. 👏👏👏

Also, and this is vitally important...it has an amazing taste! 👌🙂

Time to head down to an artisan baker or pull out those tins and utensils and bake your own! 💪💪💪

Whenever Margaret from 'Magical Moments' visits us at Heath Lodge, we know we're in for a real treat!

She guides us through a series fun activities all of which are based around music. We listen and then we play games that run with the rhythm of the music and Margaret's expert lead - fantastic! 👌🙂

"Put 'em in the Ring, Joe!" 🥊🥊🥊

It seems the boxercise bug has been caught by our Day Care Centre clients!

Not content with craft sessions, singalongs and the myriad of other fun activities they enjoy, our visitors are now swinging with hooks, uppercuts and crosses! 🎨👨🏻‍🎨👩‍🎨👩‍🎤👨‍🎤🎶👉👉👉🥊🥊🥊

There was a lot of laughing that went along with the the punches, so the rigor was balanced by some jolly jabs. 🥊🙂🥊🙂🥊🙂 It was just those sneaky uppercuts we had to watch out for! 🤯😂

Thanks to the personal trainer, Will Barker for supervising the fantastic sessions. 👌💪

We just wanted to share a few pics of the party we had on Valentine's Day in Heath Lodge.

After an afternoon tea (surely sharing a cuppa and a cake is one of the highest forms of love!?☕🍰💖), we sang and danced to big-hit love ballads and absolutely LOVED each other's company! 🎤👩‍🎤👨‍🎤💕💕💃🕺💃🏻💃🕺💖💘
