North Yorkshire Sport Visit
As part of a varied range of sports activities we have been completing for the 'North Yorkshire Care Home Olympics', Simon and Rachael from North Yorkshire Sport introduced us to two new sport games: 'Boccia' and 'New Age Curling'. These are inclusive access games ideal for our Family Members. Boccia is like Boules and New Age Curling uses irons with ball bearings to skim along the floor as if it was ice. We thank Simon and Rachael for providing such an enjoyable afternoon.

World Chocolate Day - Mmmmm!
We had fun on World Chocolate Day with a film about where chocolate comes from and how it is processed into different types.

We listened to a poem about chocolate, and had a tricky quiz trying to identify photos of sliced, unwrapped, well-known chocolate bars.

Next was a sampling game 😊 of 8 different types. Each varied in its cocoa mass to cocoa butter ratio (cocoa mass 35%-100%), and some different flavours to identify as well. See if you can spot which was the least-liked and most-liked type from facial expressions! (unanimously the 100% cocoa mass bar was least-liked!!).
