Our Gents have been busy with a little DIY project today, sanding and painting old cable barrels. We love taking on a challenge and giving recycled items a new lease of life.

We started by applying a fresh coat of white paint, and as the afternoon went on, the gents handed the project over to our ladies while they enjoyed a well-earned cup of tea. One of our ladies then said, “Wouldn’t it look amazing with an under the sea theme around the middle instead of leaving it plain?”

So, that’s exactly what we did! We painted the centre in a mixture of blues to create a deep blue sea effect, then began adding fish and seaweed to bring it to life.

Before we knew it, it was time for supper! We’ll be continuing our project on Monday, and we’re so excited to show everyone the finished result when we transform it into a beautiful coffee table.

Clare has worked in the care industry for as long as she can remember and is truly dedicated to her role as Home Manager. Clare is super excited to get to know all our residents, families, friends, and every team member individually, and she is looking forward to becoming part of our wonderful Granby Family. 💙
