Easy handbag friendly daily top ups for both your children and you…. If you’ve ever struggled to reapply sunscreen on wriggling kids or during a busy day out this might be your new go to. My review….. pros and cons below… the science!
This SPF 50+ PA++++ sun stick offers very high broad-spectrum protection, with a strong PA rating that reflects excellent UVA defence, ideal for preventing long-term sun damage and pigmentation.
Formulated with silica and herbal extracts, it gives a soft matte finish, making it suitable for oily or breakout prone skin. It’s vegan, cruelty free and uses a non greasy, non comedogenic base.
My drawbacks are it’s not water or sweat resistant, so I wouldn’t rely on it as a main sunscreen……. especially if swimming or sweating, but it works well for quick daily top-ups throughout day. I’ve personally found it really handy while in Greece, especially when I start to feel the sun mid afternoon. And I want to get my kids to quickly top up whist having lunch in the sun…. It allows for a fast, mess free reapplication without using my hands (which sticky sunscreen hands is my only holiday bugbear 😤😆)
The stick glides on easily, doesn’t leave a white cast thank you lovely and layers fairly well over bare skin. However, the added fragrance is noticeable and could be an issue for sensitive skin or those prone to irritation.
Price ranges from £11 to £18 in the UK pretty sure I paid £11 from Boots.
It’s a convenient, handbag-friendly SPF top up stick with high UVA protection and a skin-friendly finish, just not your go-to for heavy sun exposure or water activities.
