A year to remember. I’ve done some amazing things in business and my life this year but it will all probably be superseded by what happened on the 29th August.

A new hip, a huge amount of rehab, a piece of metal instead of what I was born with.

The words in this reel have never been so prominent.

Over the 16 weeks of intense rehab I have definitely restarted, reset and refocused a number of times.

That is what rehab is all about. It’s not plain sailing, it’s not fun, it’s hard work. But the rewards on the other side are what it’s all about.

2026 is the year of pain free golf and hiking the Norwegian mountains for me.

What could you achieve with a proper plan and some realistic goals you can aim for.

Leading up to Christmas it’s not just about manual therapy.

Yes we are one of the best at manual bodywork but to make things stick the body has to learn to move in ways that it has forgot.

Remove the pain and keep it away that’s what real results are.

The journey continues.

Got the big guns out last night (12kg kettlebell)

As far as building strength there’s still a long way to go but even 4 weeks ago this maybe would have been a challenge too far.

Rehab is a tough one, some days it’s good, some days it’s awful and some days it just doesn’t happen at all.

Overall consistency is the key.

Christmas time is the toughest time to stay on track. If you’re rehabbing an injury right now make a plan for Christmas.

- make sure you do a little and often
- don’t get down if you miss a rehab session
- focus on quality movement when you can
- keep moving if you can’t get to the gym get out and walk.
- realise that your rehab will not be perfect over this time but focus on quality when you do get it done.

Our Story

Rob gained his Sports Massage Diploma in 2015 and has since developed a private client base as well as supporting teams and competitive athletes in North Yorkshire. He is also a member of the Sports Therapy Association.

Rob has always had a keen interest and taken part in several competitive sports including rugby, football, cricket and golf and still maintains a strong link by coaching and providing pitch side assistance with a local rugby club.

Rob supported the Welsh Ladies Rugby Team throughout their 2015 and 2016, 6 Nations campaigns, providing pre and post-game sports therapy.
