If you think you or someone you care for might have an infected insect bite, please pop along to see your local Pharmacy First service.

What Pharmacy First covers:
●Sinusitis (12 years of age and older)
●Sore throat (5 years of age and older)
●Earache (infants and children 1–17 years of age)
●Infected insect bite (1 year old and older)
●Impetigo (1 year old and older)
●Shingles (18 years of age and older)
●Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (women aged 16–64)

The Lung Cancer Screening Programme in the East of England is part of a wider national initiative, aiming to significantly reduce cases of lung cancer being identified at a late stage. The programme is targeted at people living in high incidence areas who are at an increased risk from lung cancer due to being smokers or having had a history of smoking.

If you are registered in one of our locations in the East of England you will be assessed and invited to take part in the screening programme. Lung Cancer Screening services currently available in the East of England are located at Basildon, Southend, Thurrock, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Clacton, Harlow, Luton, Milton Keynes and in the Central Bedfordshire area.

Invitations will be sent to those who are registered with their GP, aged between 55 - 74 years, who live in one of the designated areas and have a history of smoking or are current smokers.

We would encourage anyone who receives an invite to the Lung Cancer Screening Programme, to take it up.

Southend has been selected to receive funding by NHS England to extend it's early Lung Health Check Programme to its populations.
