Today is Day of Education

Learning doesn’t belong to one generation; it’s something we share at every stage of life.

Across our homes, we’re very lucky that thanks to our amazing Activity Co-ordinators, we have been able to welcome local schools and young visitors into all of our homes.

The children love to spend time with our residents, whether that’s through reading together, crafts, conversations or shared activities, offering so much to both generations! 🩷💚

Our residents bring decades of knowledge, stories and life experience, and younger generations bring energy, curiosity and fresh perspectives.

When the two come together, something really special happens: confidence grows, connections form, and both generations learn from one another, so today we are celebrating all the intergenerational connections across our homes!

Sue has been part of life at Saltshouse Haven Care Home for ten years, and her care, dedication and kindness have meant so much to residents and her colleagues!

Feeling well looked after goes beyond day-to-day care, it’s also about taking time for those little moments of pampering that help you feel like yourself 🩷💚

Linda recently treated herself to a visit from one of our on-site hairdressers and decided it was time for a fresh new cut, saying goodbye to her long hair.

Her smile said it all.

It was so lovely to see her feeling confident, relaxed, and so pleased with the result!

Having a real sense of occupation matters so much — it keeps minds active, sparks creativity and brings a genuine feeling of pride.
