Hello everyone,
Our team (led by Miss Asha Senapati) at St Mark’s Hospital in London, are trying to create a questionnaire (called PNQoL - Pilonidal disease quality of life) to discover and find out the impact of pilonidal disease on peoples’ every day lives. Miss Asha Senapati is a consultant colorectal surgeon at St Mark's Hospital with a specialist interest and much expertise in the management of pilonidal disease.
We appreciate from our research that as clinicians, the impact on daily lives are not always fully appreciated or heard, both before or after treatment.
What is the purpose of PNQoL?
After doing multiple interviews we have a created a questionnaire which we think will be able to capture the impact that pilonidal disease and its treatment can have. Our aim is to get as many responses possible and to have as many voices heard. Going forward, we hope that clinicians up and down the U.K. will use this tool to measure the impact of all treatment on patients with pilonidal disease.
If you:
Have a diagnosis of pilonidal disease,
Are a resident in the U.K. and,
Are over the age of 18 years old,
We would love to hear your views. The link to our questionnaire is below, or please feel free to email dotun.ojo@nhs.net if you have any further questions on enquiries.
Thanks for your time everyone.
