Yesterday, Karuna Manor Care Home was filled with pride, joy, and togetherness as we celebrated Republic Day.

The celebration began with the National Anthem, followed by vibrant cultural dance performances and soulful live music, creating a joyful and patriotic atmosphere for everyone.

It was a memorable day that beautifully reflected unity, culture, and national spirit, made special by the smiles and participation of our residents, staff, and performers. ❤️

Here’s Rian's story in his own words:
"I am a General Nurse, qualified in 2003, with experience across both medical and surgical hospital settings. After working in Dubai in a surgical setting, including Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) procedures, I moved to the UK in 2009 and gained extensive experience in community care.

I joined TLC Care in 2015 as a Team Leader while completing my NMC registration. With the company’s full support, I obtained my UK nursing licence. Since then, I have progressed to Unit Manager and now Care Services Manager, completing a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification with distinction.

I truly love my role and consider TLC Care a second family. One of my proudest achievements is growing within the organisation while helping to deliver high-quality care to our residents. I highly recommend TLC Care as a workplace for its commitment to care excellence, career development and genuine team support. "

Karuna Manor Care Home was filled with warmth, laughter, and festive cheer as residents joyfully celebrated Makar Sankranti with a special visit from the children of Little Star Nursery.

The celebration beautifully brought together two generations, as the nursery children joined the elderly residents in marking the harvest festival, symbolizing gratitude, hope, and new beginnings. Dressed in colorful attire, the children delighted everyone with their cheerful presence, festive pooja, and playful interactions, creating an atmosphere of happiness and togetherness.

Residents of Karuna Manor warmly welcomed the children, sharing smiles, stories, and blessings. The exchange created touching moments, reminding everyone of the importance of compassion, community bonding, and intergenerational connection. Traditional Sankranti elements such as decorations, sweets, and festive greetings added to the spirit of the occasion.

The management of Karuna Manor expressed heartfelt appreciation to Little Star Nursery for their thoughtful visit and participation. “Celebrations like these uplift our residents emotionally and bring immense joy. Seeing the children interact with our elders truly made this Makar Sankranti special,” said by Payal Chhabra(Home Manager)

Our residence priest and team members were deeply touched and truly blessed to experience immense love, inner peace, and an uplifting spiritual atmosphere by participating in the divine Satyanarayan Puja & Katha, the serene meditation session, and the soulful, melodious Hanuman Chalisa recited by the devoted local community. The collective prayers, devotion, and positive energy created a sacred environment that filled our hearts with gratitude, harmony, and renewed spiritual strength. What a truly joyful and heart-warming celebration we shared together. The day was filled with happiness, laughter, delicious festive food, wonderful music, and, most importantly, togetherness, making this Christmas season very memorable and special for everyone.

A special thank you to Morris, who delivered a fantastic performance of some of our residents’ favourite songs. His music brought back lovely memories, encouraged singing along, and filled the room with smiles and cheer. 🎶💖

Our residents were also delighted to receive some beautiful Christmas presents, which added an extra sparkle to the day and made everyone feel truly valued and appreciated. 🎁

We all had such a musical and truly fantastic time with Ranjana and her wonderful group. They sang beautiful old Bollywood songs that brought back so many lovely memories and filled the room with joy and nostalgia. Our residents had an amazing time singing along, dancing, smiling, and enjoying delicious food together. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and full of happiness, and it was heart-warming to see everyone so engaged and cheerful. Events like these create special moments that our residents will always cherish. We are already looking forward to welcoming Snehal and her group again and can’t wait for our next Christmas event to celebrate together once more.

Gita Jayanti celebration was truly spiritual and soul-stirring. The residents and team members performed the pooja and aarti of the Divine Bhagavad Gita with deep devotion. Our temple priest beautifully explained the importance of the Gita, highlighting the significance of each chapter. He also spoke about the paths of Gyaan, Karma, and Bhakti in our lives. The priest further shared how Lord Krishna manifests, insights into His childhood pastimes, the story of the Mahabharata, and the divine appearance of the Bhagavad Gita.

Residents enjoyed a truly magical afternoon on Elf Day. Dippy Kumar joined us and delivered an outstanding magic show for both residents and team members.

His performance featured an impressive range of acts, including mind-blowing card tricks, clever illusions with locks and keys, incredible string magic, and many more brilliant surprises.

It was a delightful experience that everyone thoroughly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming him back in 2026.
