The celebration included fun activities that brought happiness and excitement to everyone. One of the highlights of the day was the lovely henna mehndi session, where the mothers enjoyed decorating their hands with beautiful designs. It was a joyful experience that sparked laughter, conversations, and shared memories.

To make the day even more special, each mother was presented with roses and heartfelt cards from the team members. These small gestures of appreciation brought big smiles and emotional moments, making every mother feel valued, loved, and celebrated. 🌹💖

Visiting Jalaram Mandir in Sudbury was a truly uplifting experience for the residents. The outing gave everyone a wonderful opportunity to step outside their routine and spend meaningful time together in a peaceful and spiritual environment. Meeting and greeting the priest was a special moment, as he warmly welcomed the group and shared kind words that made everyone feel comfortable and included.

The residents enjoyed taking part in darshan, offering their prayers, and spending quiet moments in reflection. Receiving prasad afterwards added to the joy of the visit, as it brought smiles and a sense of togetherness among everyone. The calm atmosphere of the temple, combined with the shared experience of devotion and community, made the outing very memorable for all who attended.

It was not only a spiritual visit but also a chance for the residents to connect with one another, create beautiful memories, and feel a sense of peace and positivity that they carried with them long after the visit.

We were honoured to welcome Krupesh Hirani AM, Assembly Member for Brent and Harrow, for his first visit to Karuna Manor Care Home.

Karuna Manor is proud to be a specialist Asian cultural care home, providing compassionate care that respects and celebrates the cultural, spiritual, and dietary needs of our residents.

It was a pleasure to show Mr. Hirani around our home, share the work our dedicated team does every day, and discuss the importance of culturally sensitive care for our community.

Indira Baa had a truly fantastic and heartwarming time celebrating her birthday, surrounded by the love of her family and the wonderful members of Team Karuna. The residents and team members came together to enthusiastically celebrate the beautiful festival of Holi with love, joy, safety and a strong sense of togetherness. The celebration was filled with laughter, vibrant colors, and heartfelt moments shared by everyone present.

As part of the tradition, we gathered to light the sacred Holi fire, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and the beginning of a new season filled with positivity and hope. Residents and team members enjoyed playing with colors, spreading smiles and happiness throughout the area.

We also offered coconut and popcorn into the holy fire, honoring the meaningful customs and traditions that make this festival so special. These offerings represent gratitude, prosperity, and prayers for well-being for all.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, our residents enthusiastically participated in the celebration by presenting a unique recitation from the Bhagavad Gita, along with showcasing vibrant African and Indian cuisines.

Our BDM also shared traditional recipes of popular dishes such as dhokla, muthiya, and mogo, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and flavors behind these beloved foods. The event beautifully celebrated diversity, unity, and the power of language to connect communities.

Our residents were absolutely delighted to experience the tasting of our new spring menu! 🌸 The menu featured a delicious variety of fresh and flavorful dishes, including comforting soup, crisp seasonal salad, traditional dhokla, soft and savory muthia, steamed rice, and many other thoughtfully prepared items. Each dish was carefully crafted to celebrate the flavors of the season while keeping our residents’ preferences and nutrition in mind.
Our dedicated kitchen team continuously works with passion and creativity to introduce new ideas, innovative recipes, and delightful desserts that bring both comfort and excitement to every meal. They take great pride in ensuring that every plate is prepared with care, quality ingredients, and attention to detail.
We were truly happy to receive such positive feedback from our residents during the tasting. Their kind words and valuable suggestions inspire us to keep improving. Based on their feedback, we are excited to incorporate some of these new dishes and thoughtful adjustments into our regular menu, making dining an even more enjoyable experience for everyone.

At Karuna Manor, all the residents, the priest, and our dedicated team members came together to celebrate the sacred festival of Mahashivratri with great devotion and spiritual enthusiasm. The atmosphere was filled with positivity and divine energy as we performed the traditional Shiv Abhishek Pooja, offering milk, flowers, and sacred prayers to Lord Shiva. The rhythmic chanting of mantras created a serene and uplifting environment that brought everyone closer in faith and unity.

The celebration continued with a heartfelt aarti, where lamps were lit and devotional songs echoed through the halls, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness. Our residents enthusiastically participated in soulful bhajans, singing praises of Lord Shiva and immersing themselves in deep devotion. The afternoon became even more vibrant with a beautiful traditional dance performance, expressing reverence and joy through graceful movements inspired by the spirit of Mahashivratri.

The halls were filled with cheerful decorations, creating a vibrant atmosphere where love and friendship blossomed in every corner.

We enjoyed wonderful music sessions where everyone sang along to their favorite tunes, lively dance moments that got everyone on their feet, and delicious meals that brought smiles to every face. There were sweet treats, fun games, and creative activities that encouraged bonding and strengthened friendships. Most importantly, it was a week where everyone felt valued, appreciated, and surrounded by genuine care and companionship.
