Here at CCH, we had the pleasure of hosting our wonderful medical secretaries for a “Bites and Insights” event here on site.

The morning brought together our medical secretaries with hospital departments and the self-pay team, sparking insightful conversations that will support development and help us continue improving care for our patients.

Alongside the valuable discussions, we enjoyed some delicious food, fun games of bingo, and a few fantastic prizes - adding plenty of laughter to the day.

A heartfelt thank you to our medical secretaries for attending and for all that you do - you are truly invaluable to our hospital and our consultants. 💙

Today, we celebrate and thank our incredible pharmacy team - from our dedicated technicians to our skilled pharmacists.

Their knowledge, precision, and compassion play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective, and exceptional care for every patient who comes through our doors. From supporting treatments to guiding patients and colleagues, they are an essential part of our hospital family. 💙

To mark the occasion, our team created a special display board dedicated to World Pharmacists Day, sharing their favourite things about being in pharmacy, what working in pharmacy means to them, why they’re proud to be part of the team, and insightful information about the world of pharmacy.

We are proud to celebrate our Pharmacy team for the difference they make in the lives of our patients and community.

When arthritis in the hip or knee reaches a point where pain, instability, and reduced function can no longer be managed with conservative treatments like injections or painkillers, joint replacement surgery becomes a highly effective solution.

With a special interest in minimally invasive joint replacement Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Ms Samantha Tross uses the latest techniques - including robotic-assisted surgery when possible - to ensure precision, faster recovery, and better outcomes.

She also emphasises the importance of physiotherapy and prehabilitation before surgery to prepare patients for the best possible results.

Thanks to these advanced approaches, many patients are up and about immediately after surgery, returning to the activities they love with renewed mobility and confidence!
