Nexus Fostering trains and supports foster carers to look after vulnerable children and young people. You may own your home, or be renting.

Nexus Fostering is a well-established fostering agency that was set up and is run by social workers who are deeply committed to exceptionally high quality placements leading to the best possible outcomes for children and young people and this has been recognised by our long standing local authority customers and by Ofsted with an Outstanding rating. If you are looking for an exciting life-changing professional career in fostering, or you’re experienced and now looking for higher quality, dedicated support with a new fostering agency, then we would welcome an informal, and confidential chat with you. We are now recruiting carers in London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex,
West Midlands, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire,
East Anglia, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Avon, Berkshire, Bristol, Shropshire, and Staffordshire. Because looked after children and young people come from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds we encourage applications from people who reflect this diversity so that we can place children within a loving home environment in which they feel they belong. You may be married or a co-habiting couple, with or without children, single, divorced people, or a single parent. And you could be straight or gay, too. To apply to become a foster carer with Nexus, you must offer a spare bedroom, be available throughout the day and ideally have experience of caring for children other than your own. It will be advantageous if you are a car driver with your own car. 💙 Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of fostering. Getting attached isn’t a weakness but a sign of the love, safety, and support foster carers provide. But when the time comes to say goodbye, it can be incredibly emotional.

We understand that goodbyes are part of the journey, but no one should face them alone. That’s why we’re here every step of the way with ongoing support, guidance, and a listening ear. Whether it’s sharing feelings, connecting with other carers who’ve been through the same, or accessing professional advice, our team make sure foster carers have a place to talk about their emotions. ☺️

Our young ambassadors travelled to Northamptonshire this month for a fantastic day of outdoor activities and team building at Twywell Hills & Dales Country Park, managed by the brilliant local charity .

🐞The day started off foraging for materials for a bug hotel to help increase pollinating insect biodiversity.

🍕A quick pitstop for lunch, making pizza in the outdoor pizza oven.

🐮Then a guided tour to meet the popular highland cows

The children had a wonderful day and received a mini highland cow and certificate to take home.
