A runny nose can be a real nuisance, but there are things you can do to ease the discomfort at home. The NHS recommends:

Blowing your nose gently to clear away the mucus.
Using a saline nasal spray or drops to help loosen and clear away mucus.
Drinking plenty of water to help keep the mucus thin and flowing.
Try using a humidifier if the air in your home is dry.
Avoiding smoking, and staying away from smoke-filled rooms.
