Tuesday 5th May is World Asthma Day which is organised by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA). The campaign is focusing on highlighting the urgent need for equitable access to essential medication to reduce preventable mortality. See the link below for more information.

Our GP practice will be closed on Monday 4th May for the bank holiday weekend – we’ll be back and ready to help as usual from 08:00 on Tuesday 5th May,

Seaton Surgery will be closed for the Easter bank holiday weekend. We will close at 6.00pm on Thursday 2nd April and reopen at 8.00am on Tuesday 7th April. If you need help that cannot wait during this time please contact 111, or for a medical emergency please ring 999.

Information regarding the media coverage of the recent Meningitis B (MenB) outbreak.

As there is currently no MenB vaccination programme for adults as part of the NHS Vaccination Schedule, we are unfortunately unable to offer the vaccine to adults.

The MenB vaccine was introduced into the routine childhood immunisation schedule from 1st May 2015.

This means:
💉If you are a teenager or young adult born before 1 May 2015, you will not have received the MenB vaccine as part of the NHS schedule
💉The MenB vaccine is now routinely offered to babies as part of the NHS childhood schedule at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 12 months.

If your child is eligible for the vaccine, they will automatically be invited as part of the routine schedule.

If you have any concerns about meningitis symptoms or believe someone may be unwell, please seek urgent medical advice.

Hartlepool Borough Council are hosting a Women's Wellness Event. There will be stalls galore offering information on smoking cessation, 0-19 years services, reading for wellbeing, jobs skills to name a few.
Our Social Prescribing team will be on hand to answer any questions you have relating to health and wellbeing, diet and weight management along with social and care co-ordination.
There will be guided meditation sessions and pilates along with craft stalls and creative writing.
