Sicknotes
When requesting a sicknote from the GP, please complete the following link
https://patients.econsult.health/
This can take up to 5 of the GP's working days to complete (not 5 consecutive days in the week).
Once the sicknote is complete, the GP will send the patient a text which when clicked on, will show the sicknote. This can then be forwarded to whoever is needing it.

A sicknote cannot be done in an urgent appointment.

Get advice and treatment from your own NHS GP. Find your practice to get started.

Just to clarify the following regarding Urgent Same Day and Routine appointments in the surgery:

Each day we have an urgent triage list for that day.

The patient would make the decision if it was urgent as they know their own bodies. The receptionists will ask the patient for details regarding their symptoms.
Please be aware that the receptionists have been asked by the clinicians to do this. This is so that the appointments can be triaged to the correct clinician.

Our Oncall Admin team will then call the patient directly with details of the appointment.

This is not a recent change in the system and has been part of the surgery's triage system for quite a while.

Routine appointments are appointments in the future, normally for about a few weeks time.
If you are wanting to see the GP but it is not acutely urgent for that day, you will then be asked if you can be added to the routine triage list.
The receptionists will ask what you would like to see the GP for. This again has been asked by the clinicians for the receptionists to do so. Our Oncall Admin team will call the patient once they have a routine appointment with a GP, to arrange it.

Any questions regarding this, please speak to a member of the Reception staff.
