A podcast discussing my life as a paraplegic and former addict who once suffered with severe mental health issues but have now turned my life around and aim at raising awareness and helping anyone else who may benefit from hearing my story. On 20th May 2015 I was hit by a car on my motorbike near my hometown of Durham, UK and as a result I became a complete paraplegic and my life was changed forever. Over the subsequent 7+ years I have been on a rollercoaster journey which has led me to highs of travelling the world for pioneering medical treatment to try and walk again and as a result became a global ambassador for the treatment I received. It however has led me to many lows including suffering with two substance addictions and severe mental health problems which resulted in an attempt on my own life in 2019. Thankfully in 2022 I managed to turn my life around with the help of many people and a Christian rehab centre, and with a lot of hard work I now have a huge passion to be open and honest and to share my journey with as many people as possible with the goal of helping anyone who may be paralysed, suffer with addiction or mental health issues or anyone who may benefit from hearing my story.
