Could you spare a few hours a week to support your local Hospice?

Our charity shops play a vital role in helping Alice House Hospice continue providing care and support to local families affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement.

But right now, we urgently need more retail volunteers to join our amazing team.

Whether you love fashion, books, music, meeting people, creating displays, or simply want to give something back to your community, there’s a role for everyone.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to gain experience, build confidence, make friends and support an incredible cause.

From serving customers and sorting donations to helping create eye-catching displays, every hour makes a difference.

A huge thank you to RAMSDENS Hartlepool for their incredible donation of £888.38 to Alice House Hospice 💜

The fantastic amount was raised throughout 2025 through their foreign coin exchange scheme, turning unwanted and leftover currency into vital support for local hospice care.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated their old and foreign coins and to the team at Ramsdens Hartlepool for supporting our Hospice in such a meaningful way.

If you have any old or foreign coins tucked away at home, you can still donate them! Simply drop them off at Ramsdens on York Road, Hospice Reception or any of our Alice House Hospice shops.

We’re delighted to share that our Cycle a Marathon event on Sunday 3rd March raised an amazing £3,117 for Alice House Hospice! 🚴💜

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated and supported the event. We couldn’t have achieved this fantastic total without you.

Special thanks go to SMB Training and TeamHolbrook for their incredible enthusiasm and support in helping organise the day, and to Hartlepool College of Further Education for providing our wonderful stewards.

We’d also like to say a massive thank you to Barnard Grove Primary School for being fantastic hosts and keeping our cyclists refreshed before and after the ride.

We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year… keep your eyes peeled for the 2027 date! 👀🚴
