We don’t practice yoga to become better than anyone else… we practice to come back to ourselves šŸ’™

To soften the noise, to meet ourselves with a bit more kindness.
To learn how to love ourselves a little more fully, as we are and from that place… something naturally shifts in how we meet others too because the way we treat ourselves is often the way we learn to treat the world

That’s the practice for me šŸ¤

Yoga isn’t always relaxing. It isn’t always about feeling good in the moment, and it’s not meant to be. Sometimes practice brings you face to face with discomfort, resistance, or emotions you’ve been avoiding. And that’s not a problem to fix it’s part of the work.

Getting real in yoga means you stop performing and start noticing. Noticing how you breathe when things feel tight. Noticing where you hold back. Noticing what you rush past when you’d rather stay comfortable. That honesty is where the practice deepens 🧔

Theres something really special about being on the receiving end of assists when you spend so much time holding space for others

As a teacher, I’m constantly cueing, observing, adjusting, supporting… so when I’m the one being guided, I notice how quickly my body softens

I genuinely love being adjusted and assisted in yoga. it helps me feel supported in a way that goes beyond alignment, it’s more about trust, surrender, and letting someone else hold a little of the weight for you
and I think that’s why I value it so much 🄹

do you like being adjusted in class, or do you prefer to move in your own space? šŸ‘€

Your mind isn’t failing you… it’s doing exactly what it’s designed to do.

The brain is wired to scan, analyse, replay, predict it’s a survival mechanism, not a peace machine. 🧠

That constant mental chatter? Psychology calls it the ā€˜monkey mind’
a stream of thoughts jumping from one thing to the next, trying to keep you safe, in control, prepared.

Meditation isn’t about switching that off. It’s about observing it… without getting pulled into every thought.

And over time, you strengthen the part of the brain that creates space, awareness, and choice. ✨

So even when your thoughts sound like this… you’re not doing it wrong.

You’re practicing.

3 years of Yoga With Amy šŸ¤

On 22/03/2023, I launched Yoga With Amy

I had just returned from India after my teacher training, feeling this quiet but undeniable pull to share what I had learned. Teaching felt natural from the very beginning… and deep down, I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.

I still remember messaging my best friend Monika before my first classes, convinced it might all flop. But patience, care, discipline, and trust carried me through the moments of doubt.

From questioning whether I’d made the right decision walking away from acting and the events industry… to now holding full classes, sold-out retreats, and collaborating with the most incredible people.

I am beyond grateful.

To everyone who comes to my classes, workshops, retreats, or simply takes a moment to chat with me before or after, thank you. You are the heart of this community.

To everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with and collaborating with thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and growing alongside me.

And thank you to my teachers, for guiding me, holding space for me, and sharing their wisdom I carry that with me in every class I teach.

Yoga has given me something I didn’t realise I was searching for… a deeper sense of love for myself. A softness. A connection. A coming home.

I continue to study, to learn, and to live these teachings as truthfully as I can so I can show up as the most authentic version of myself.

I truly don’t know where I’d be without this path.

Happy 3 years to Yoga With Amy šŸ’š

And thank you for giving me the space to do what I love, to grow, and to be free šŸ¤

PS - May this be your reminder it’s never too late to start over, and great things take time šŸ™
