Penny Barrington Reflexology

Penny Barrington Reflexology Clinical Reflexologist based in Harwich, Essex I work holistically with my clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health.

I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR), the Complementary Therapists Association (mCThA) and the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (MARR). Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points of the feet correspond with different areas of the body. Each treatment is individually tailored to my client as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting their well-being. The majority of my clients find it works for them and feel great benefit. Reflexology can be received by anyone at any age However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable so feel free to give me a call and I can advise whether it would be beneficial for you. All telephone consultations will be viewed as valuable and confidential, so don't hesitate to contact me regarding any concern. As a professional reflexologist I do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. I continually strive to further my own professional development in order to offer the best treatments to my clients:

* Advanced Facial Reflexology Bergman Method, trained by Ziggie Bergman - September 2020

* Advanced Reproflexology, trained by Barbara Scott, Seren Natural Fertility. Assisted Conception Programme - November 2019

* Fertility Reflexology (Reproflexology), trained by Barbara Scott, Seren Natural Fertility. Pre-conceptual Care Programme - April 2019

Every time a client shares their happy news, it reminds me why I do what I do. Fertility reflexology can be such a beautiful part of the journey and I’m so honoured to have helped make dreams come true. 💕

How does Reproflexology™ work?

The primary care is centred around the people rather than symptoms.

We combine conventional and complementary therapies which focus on treating the whole person, rather than just isolated symptoms. This is called "integrative medicine".

Reproflexology™ uses specific and prescriptive treatment protocols to address fertility health for both men and women.

This includes providing support to:

- regulate menstrual cycles and ensure that each stage is functioning at its best
- improve s***m production and functionality
- assist any underlying conditions – male or female
- track improvements by using results from medical testing
- enhance both physical and mental health to optimal levels

Our Reproflexologists are all trained to our exacting standards and offer excellent care. Helping our families conceive naturally or with medical assistance.

You can find your local Reproflexologist via our global directory on our website.

Secondary infertility can be experienced by parents who had a smooth and uneventful first pregnancy.

Parents experiencing difficulty in getting pregnant a second time around often feel confused and upset, wondering what they did wrong. But it's more common than you might think.

The Times newspaper in the UK has run a couple of stories on this recently and they wrote:

"Fertility specialists say they are seeing more patients like this. Secondary infertility is estimated to affect about one in 20 couples trying for a second child."

One of the ways couples overcome secondary infertility is by using reproductive reflexology as a treatment.

In fact, our highly trained reproductive reflexologists regularly report successes supporting families to overcome secondary infertility alongside more traditional medical support.

In our system "Reproflexology™" testing, specific & prescriptive treatment protocols to address fertility health for both men and women, regulating menstrual cycles and working with men to improve s***m production and functionality are just some of the ways we support couples to become pregnant.

RLD is such a gentle yet powerful technique. I often use it as a complete treatment on its own, but also love to integrate it into my other reflexology sessions to enhance the benefits. It’s amazing how something so calming can have such a deep impact on the body.

👣 Fun Facts About Sally Kay & Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)

Where healing feet meet lymphatic flow!

🧠 1. RLD Was Born From a Dissertation!

Did you know RLD wasn’t just invented — it was researched into existence?
Sally Kay developed Reflexology Lymph Drainage as part of her BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies degree, and it won Best Dissertation of the Year at Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2011! 🎓

🧪 2. It’s Backed By Real Science

RLD isn’t guesswork — it’s supported by published research studies, including trials funded by Tenovus Cancer Care.
One study showed significant reduction in arm volume in breast cancer survivors suffering from lymphoedema — just from working on the feet! 🦶📉

🦋 3. Light Touch, Big Results

RLD uses a gentle reflexology technique focused on the lymphatic reflexes in the feet — but don’t be fooled by how soft it feels. It can create:
• Puffiness reduction
• Pain relief
• Immune activation
• Deep relaxation
All without needing to touch the lymph nodes directly!

🌍 4. RLD Is Helping People Everywhere

From hospital settings to holistic practices, RLD is used across the globe. Practitioners report benefits for conditions like:
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Fibromyalgia
• Sinus issues
• Post-viral fatigue
• Inflammatory skin conditions

🧭 5. Yes, There’s a Map for That!

Sally’s method includes a lymphatic foot map, which reflexologists follow step-by-step to stimulate drainage patterns. Think of it as MLD for the feet — mapped out, methodical, and magical! 🌿🗺️

💻 6. You Can Train With Her

Sally Kay offers certified Reflexology Lymph Drainage Training, both online and in-person.
Practitioners with a recognized reflexology qualification can register directly through her official website:

🏆 7. She’s Won Multiple Awards

Our members learn when they train with us during their Reproflexology™ course work, that it's not just the fertility enhancements it's working with the whole person, for both parents. Body, mind and spirit in combination.

It might seem strange that taking your temperature every day can help you conceive but trust us, it can really make a difference.

There is something called the "Basal Body Temperature" and as you move through different phases of your reproductive cycle your basal body temperature changes at the different stages.

Our reflexologists encourage women to check this daily and record it. When you wake, before you rise you take your temperature and make a note of it.

The figures can be plotted and with the help of our trained reflexologists we can map out your cycle and apply our treatments at the right time. We also see the improvements as happened to the lady below.

A woman came to us after trying for 18 months to have a baby. She had a very irregular menstrual cycle, PCOS and a progesterone deficiency. She was waiting for an appointment at her local fertility clinic.

We asked her to start basal body temperature charting immediately and began treating her on a weekly basis.

Whilst following our treatment protocols to support each stage of the cycle we saw that ovulation occurred more regularly, in fact each stage of the cycle had started to improve.

8 months later the lady became pregnant and after a straightforward and healthy pregnancy, gave birth to a little girl 😍

And that's how taking your temperature can help you conceive.
