So many of the horses I see ask their owners to just simply breathe with them. just be with them doing Nothing.. but actually it’s doing so much and you will feel great by doing it… it’s not something you force just simply be… 💗
💫”Come back into your body.”
Horses live in the present moment. When you breathe slowly and deeply, your nervous system drops out of urgency and into safety. The horse feels that immediately.
💫”Regulate with me.”
Horses are masters of co-regulation. They sense your breath, heart rate, and emotional tone. When you soften your breath, you invite harmony instead of tension.
💫”Be real, not busy.”
They aren’t interested in performance, control, or doing it ‘right’. Breathing together is their way of asking you to let go of masks, thoughts, and pressure.
💫”Let me feel you.”
Shallow or held breath often comes with guarded emotions. When you breathe fully, you become emotionally available — and that’s when true connection happens.
💫”Trust this moment.”
Breathing together tells the horse: nothing is chasing us, nothing needs fixing right now. Safety is established without words.
💫”Meet me as an equal nervous system.”
Not leader over follower. Not human over horse. Just two beings sharing rhythm, presence, and awareness.
💫In essence, when a horse asks you to breathe with them, they are inviting you into:
• Presence instead of control
• Relationship instead of instruction
• Regulation instead of reaction
It’s not a small request.
It’s an invitation into the kind of connection horses understand best — felt, not forced.💫🌟🐴
