Summer fun for the family! ☀️🌳🎪

Families in Nature runs at Anam Cara in West Sussex on the 18th & 19th August, 10am-3pm.

These event days offer relaxation for adults, while children participate in workshops & activities! Adults are also welcome to join the activities!

Look no further than Anam Cara’s Families in Nature for the ultimate treat! Anam Cara provides the perfect environment for adults to rest & restore whilst children enjoy play.

Families in Nature includes:
✨Scavenger hunting
✨Face painting
✨Parachute games
✨Biscuit decorating
✨Foraging nature arts
✨campfire
✨& a 1 hour disco each day!

A sauna & hot tub are available for adults!

All of this takes place on Anam Cara’s beautiful land. A quiet-play tent & reading corner are also available.

At least one guardian must stay onsite during the event.

Bring a packed lunch & enjoy the beauty of Anam Cara’s land.

There are options to Glamp on the nights of the 17th, 18th & 19th for £100 per night per tent (max 2 adults per tent!)

This event is run by Eleanor & Gem in collaboration with Anam Cara Healing Centre.

Eleanor is Cofounder & Events Manager of Anam Cara. She has a Drama Degree & qualification in Drama Therapy. Eleanor’s believes in the power & joy of play & in the strength of nature. The beautiful environment of Anam Cara has a great positive effect on guests which is wonderful to see.

Gem is a Children’s Mental Health Nurse with over 9 years of experience supporting children and families. With DDP Level 2 training, Reiki Mastership, working as a Children’s Wellbeing Facilitator, she takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach that centres on connection, play, and emotional safety. Deeply passionate about the healing power of nature, Gem weaves outdoor experiences and creative play into her work to nurture resilience and wellbeing.

On Saturday join Louise and Mark of Red Kite Flutes and learn to play a Native American style flute; you don’t need to read music or consider yourself musical. A place of no wrong notes this experiential workshop is liberating, magical and empowering; and you will leave with lots of techniques you can take away and practice afterwards. All the supplied loan flutes are made in the Red Kite Workshop in Kent using mainly British sustainable timber or reclaimed and repurposed hardwoods). In this workshop will be playing in the key of F, the note of the Heart Chakra. 💚🌳🏕️✨

For an elevation of your experience why not treat yourself to an exclusive Glamping tent, which surrounds the sacred pool & fire at the heart of the event, available with either double of twin single beds.

Anam Cara also features as art-themed Shower & toilet block & bar space, bring your own non-alcoholic supplies! We are surrounded by forest & there is public access forest to let your dogs run. Camper vans are no extra charge.

Food & drink options include & ! Our plant based chefs aim to please!
