With the spring sunshine, Exam time is just around the corner at our house… did you know that treatment can really help your young person to manage the stresses and anxiety of revision and exams? Not to mention helping them to stay well through this important term and into the summer.

I absolutely love to support teens with acupuncture, it’s so gentle but profoundly relaxing and regulating for them.

Give the clinic a call or book on line.

It can all start to feel a bit Christmas Crazy at this time of year, which can go against the natural seasonal urge to slow down and hibernate 🐻… remember humans are still mammals, a part of the natural world. If it all feels a bit much, that’s probably because it is. There is lots to love about this time of year 🎄 but it is still a lot!

Give yourself space and micro rests throughout your day…
Take a nice deep breath, wiggle your fingers and toes & stay present to what’s around you;
Savour the steam from your coffee before you drink;
sit in the car a moment longer and feel the seat beneath you;
take a 10 minute rest after lunch.
Everything will still get done and you will feel better for having had a moment for yourself.

Don’t forget to book your sanity saving Acupuncture appointment in Haslemere for the new year, start as you mean to go on! Get it in the diary now and you know you have that to look forward to ☺️

I can’t wait to see you on the other side!

Warmly, Keeley

2 wonderful groups came to learn about facial Gua Sha this weekend (I only remembered to take photos of one though!).
We drank tea and chatted, talked Chinese medicine theory and treated our faces together. There may have been some chocolate involved too.
What a lovely way to spend a Saturday ☺️
Keep your eyes peeled for more workshops in Haslemere in the new year. Drop me a line if you’d like to be on the mailing list.
And remember along with your Gua Sha,
“if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

This weekend I was honoured to complete my training in the wonderful art and practice of Shōnishin with .ev
This gentle technique is used to treat babies and children of all ages; it supports correct development of the meridian system, which in turn supports their overall health as they grow.
We learnt how to help babies who may be struggling to settle, sleep or feed, and older children, in whom early issues may not have been detected, leading to all sorts of symptoms, physical, emotional and developmental.
There are myriad uses for this powerful Japanese technique, another non needle method that I can’t wait to integrate into my practice.
Many thanks to Thomas Wernicke .ev , .hopa and the lovely colleagues I spent many days learning and laughing with.
This work continues to amaze and delight me!

Yesterday while treating a young patient (4yrs old) her older sister took some notes 📝😂

My particular favourites are;
-Magic Wand (my shonishin tool 🪄)
-Gladiators (we did talk about who our favourite Gladiator was, of course. Mine is in case you’re wondering)
-Chatty, as definitely the chats are my favourite thing about treating children 😊🌸

So there we are, a small snippet of what we get up to in a treatment for a 4 year old with a cough. It sounds deceptively simple and it is, but it is also very effective, relaxing and enjoyable for both of us.

Get in touch if you’d like to bring your child for treatment. I’d love to help.

Having attended a wonderful, inspiring 3 days of further Shonishin training this weekend, I was thrilled to start my week with a shonishin treatment on a 5 month old baby.

Heat lamp & magic dragon at the ready, shonishin is a quick, gentle Japanese technique which involves stroking & tapping meridian areas of the child’s body. It is technique that brings them into balance and supports the child’s natural development, no matter what stage they are at.

This is gentle needle free treatment for children at its best 💕

I treat all ages from babies to teens, so please give me a call if your youngsters are in need.

I am here to help,

Keeley

Gua Sha has been such a popular part of
my facial enhancement treatments, that I decided to offer it as a special treatment on its own.

It’s a gentle, relaxing technique with far reaching effects. Gua sha has been shown to increase the surface micro circulation of the skin by up to 400%, thus improving the health and condition of the skin, and helping reduce fine lines and signs of ageing.

I use a pure, organic prickly pear seed oil, rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamins. It is suitable for all skin types.

Why not treat yourself or someone you love to a little bit of luxury?

Still Wintering…
I don’t know about you but January is always a mixed bag for me. The madness of Christmas is done and the days are lengthening (hard to believe, I know) and yet there is still a lot of winter to travel, with the coldest days yet to come and maybe even some ⛄️?!

On my way home today, I was momentarily dazzled by the bright, low, sun, reminding me of the glimmer of Yang to be found in the utmost Yin of Winter.

The natural world is still sleeping, ready to awake in the spring and we should be resting too.

So try to keep your days measured and calm and your pace gentle. Stay warm and cosy; allow space for dreaming the new year into being.

With warm winter wishes,

Keeley
❄️⛄️💙
