January, you were exactly what I needed you to be
after a wild December of highs and lows.
Slow when I needed grounding.
Fast when I needed momentum.
Focused, intentional, steady.
So fun and full of adventures and family time,
with plenty of room to refocus on me.

I’m entering February feeling full of
positive energy and excited for
all the adventures ahead.
Grateful for it all.
The highs, lows,
easy days and harder ones.

Just really very grateful to be here on this wild ride and excited for all there is to come.

Join me in the beautiful Cowdray Hall on Friday 27th February for an evening of yoga under candlelight.

A moment to pause, to move your body, to reconnect with yourself as we prepare to welcome the lighter days of Spring.

The evening will start with herbal teas and healthy nibbles followed by a wonderfully energising vinyasa flow followed by a lovely extended savasana.

A year filled with so many magic moments
A year that pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow in so many ways
A year filled with adventures
Family moments
So much happiness
and quiet moments of loss and sadness

A year of practicing yoga on and off the mat more than any other. A year of welcoming so many of you to my classes and events.

Eternally grateful for all this year bought me, the happy moments and the challenging moments, they all came for a reason and have taught me so much.

In just two weeks it’ll be Boxing Day.

The run-up to Christmas can be a lot for tired children and for parents holding everything together. It’s a time when taking a moment to ground and be present is more important than ever.

I’m trying really hard this year to notice when small trivial things in the run up to Christmas start to ni**le at me - and when they do - I’m having a good old chat to myself to shift my perspective.

I take a step back
I remind myself to be grateful for everything and everyone in my little world
I remind myself how lucky I am to be here

I hope you’re all doing ok in the run up to the end of term. Whatever is going on in your world, give yourself some space to soak it all in.

Go for a walk
Breathe in the fresh air
Look up at the sky
The trees
Notice the twinkling lights all around
Feel the warmth of your bed
Hear the laugh of your loved ones

Take a step back away from it all
Focus on what really matters
And notice 🤍

World Kindness Day 🤍

Be kind.
To yourself.
To everyone around you.
Whether they show kindness towards you or not.

The practise of Ahimsa teaches us that even the smallest and most subtle act of softness, compassion and kindness can transform a day - whether that’s your day or someone elses. It’s something that I like to take very seriously in my practice on and off the mat 🤍

“Realise deeply that the present moment is all you ever have” ~ Eckhart Tolle.

I’m currently reading the book “The Power of Now” and this quote stuck with me today.

A reminder that life is constantly unfolding. The past exists only as memory; the future exists only as imagination.

The present moment
This breath
This experience
Right now

is all that’s truly real.

From my own experience, I know that being present isn’t always easy. I used to find myself tangled in the past or reaching toward the future. Now, the present has become such a natural space for me that I sometimes struggle to leave it. Planning ahead used to come so naturally and now my brain much prefers to live in the short term, week by week and often day by day.

When we anchor our awareness in the here and now, we can find peace, clarity, and freedom from anxiety about what’s gone or what’s to come.

And I like to think of the here and now as a really peaceful place to be.

Gosh - September, you’ve been full to the brim with joy-filled days and simple pleasures, spectacular sunsets and chilly swims,

A little fast paced and chaotic (behind the scenes!) at times.
But sprinkled with so many memorable moments.
The weeks have been filled and fast paced,
the weekends have been unplanned and so much fun.
The great British bake off, naps on the sofa, autumnal walks, dinners with friends and much needed slow and quiet family time.

Grateful for it all 🤍 the slow days, the busy days, the building dust and the chaos.
