Our patients had a truly special outing with our wonderful Activities Team and Caregivers to the stunning RHS Wisley gardens. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful welcome sign that stayed up all day — thank you, RHS Garden Wisley!

The grounds were breathtaking, filled with vibrant autumnal displays that brought smiles and joy to everyone. It was a fantastic day of connection, nature, and laughter.

🎉 Celebrating AHP Day at HCH! 🎉

Last week, our amazing Caregivers came together for a joyful afternoon filled with tea, cake, and inspiring on-screen learning to celebrate Allied Health Professionals Day. 💙

We took time to recognise the incredible work of our AHPs and their vital roles in patient care. From physiotherapists to dietitians and speech and language therapists — every AHP makes a difference.

🌞 Creativity in the Sunshine! 🎨

Our Occupational Therapy team recently took therapy outdoors to the hospital terrace — and the results were truly inspiring! One of our talented patients created this beautiful piece of artwork during the session. 🖌️💛

We were so moved by their creativity and progress that we’ve framed the artwork and proudly displayed it in the hospital for everyone to enjoy. A wonderful reminder of the healing power of art and nature!

👏 Huge thanks to our OT team for their dedication and to our patients for sharing their journeys with us.

🌿✨ At our recent Summer Festival we had the joy of welcoming Carolyn Calvert to Holy Cross! Carolyn generously volunteered her time to lead a serene sound bath experience for our patients and caregivers — all from the peaceful perch of our tree house, surrounded by nature. 🌳🎶

The gentle tones and tranquil setting offered a moment of deep relaxation and healing, and we’re so grateful for Carolyn’s presence and energy.

🎶 The Power of Music! 🎶

It’s festival season here at Holy Cross, and last week was nothing short of magical!

Our incredible Activities Team curated a week full of live music and festival-themed fun for our Caregivers, Patients, and their loved ones.

From soulful piano and R&B by Leon Dixon, to jazz trombone brilliance from Peter Smart, and a DJ set by Bobby & Steve. We even had magic, singing comedy, and balloons with Gary Tustin each day brought something special.

On our final day we wrapped up the week with our very own ‘Holy Cross Has Talent’ show, finishing with a heartfelt performance by singer Ollie Hutton and a visit from the Deputy Mayor of Haslemere, Councillor Jacquie Keen.

🎤 Music plays a vital role in our neurorehabilitation journey—engaging many parts of the brain and bringing joy and connection to all.

✨ But that’s not all! We also hosted a variety of creative and sensory activities! Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing more highlights from these amazing moments soon!
