What wonderful weather we have had this last week, it inspired our Hummingbird Susan to ask a group of our family members if they would like to have some fresh air before lunch. Everyone enjoyed the sunshine, the blossom and the spring flowers that are appearing.🥰

We were helped to make some Easter bonnet's with two of our volunteers on Tuesday, we held a competition to see who could create the most interesting Easter bonnet, eggs, rabbits, nests and flowers were used to decorate them. Vicki chose the bonnet with a nest on top and the prize was of course an Easter Egg!

Happy Good Friday, everyone! 🌿✨

Today we pause to reflect on the ultimate act of love and sacrifice. Good Friday reminds us of the power of forgiveness, hope, and renewal, and the promise of brighter days ahead. Joan had her two grandchildren visiting on Friday, Mike invited the eldest to join in with Radio Taiso exercises which we do each day, Proverbs 22 v 6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it". seemed the most apt bible verse in teaching this young man our exercise routine, every move was mirrored! 🥰👏💪

Life at Shottermill House

Fulfilled Living

In every one of our homes and schemes we express God’s love through compassion and care that helps people live life to the full - fulfilled living.

Shottermill House has an active social life in which residents can take part or follow their own pursuits. We appreciate that each resident has their own individual interests, hobbies and pastimes, and we endeavour to support our residents to maintain this important part of their lives. Our residents are encouraged to lead the lifestyle that they choose, doing as much or as little as they want - residents can simply choose to put their feet up with a daily paper (by arrangement) or a good book from the home’s own collection.
