Sussex Wine List - at www.sussexwinelist.wordpress.com - is a website that will, I hope, give interested visitors useful information about the wonderful world of wine – in Sussex, England. It will host the occasional wine-related ramblings, tasting notes and microjournalistic offerings of its editor. However it is intended to be interactive, and if there are local winelovers, wine p
rofessionals or wine tourists out there who want to contribute pieces – you are very welcome to do so! Having spent time studying at the École du Vin de Bordeaux just prior to setting up this blog, and having experienced the great pride that the Bordelais have about their wine, I came home wondering why we don’t have the same sort of attitude. Here in Sussex (and just over the border in Kent) we have fantastic terroir, increasingly warm summers and winemakers who, it must be said, are delivering high quality, premium wines harvest after harvest. This blog will hope to draw together bits and bobs of information about all that is hip and happening about wine in Sussex. ABOUT THE EDITOR
Nick Perry lives in Hastings and works in mental health care. Alongside an undergraduate History degree from Peterhouse, Cambridge, and a Masters from the University of London, he holds dear his Advanced Level certification by the Wine & Spirits Education Trust and his recent formation at the École du Vin de Bordeaux.
