Some important FAQs answered below ahead of our show this Saturday on Hastings Pier.
GENERAL INFO:
What is the dress code at Pier Jam?
The dress code is smart / casual but not scruffy and strictly no tracksuits / Jogger wear. Trainers & Shorts are fine. Man Bags / Bum Bags are also fine but subject to search on entry.
How do the token drink sales work?
Please note Pier Jam will be operating a cashless system and all drinks will need to be purchased by tokens. There will be numerous token booths on site to purchase tokens, which will be clearly marked and operating throughout the event. These tokens can only be used to purchase drinks at the specific event. Please note there will be a minimum purchase of 5 tokens per order NB. Drinks tokens are non refundable and can only be used at the specific event they have been purchased at.
Are there any cash machines available?
There are no cash machines available on site. Chip & Pin is available at the token booths.
Is there a cloakroom on site?
Pier Jam does not have a cloakroom on site.
Are there any disabled facilities?
Disabled customers are welcome at Pier Jam. All arenas are accessible for disabled customers. Please note however that the Pier does have some uneven walkways so please bear this in mind when booking for this event. There will be a number of disabled portaloo’s on site.
Can I keep my water bottle top when in the venue?
Pier Jam does not sell bottles of water with the lids on and all lager and cider bottles are opened before going over the bar. There are two reasons for this. An unopened drinks vessel is heavy and can travel far if thrown and do damage if it hits someone. Also an unopened vessel if stood on will roll and can lead to injury.
Is there any free drinking water at the venue?
There is free drinking water from the welfare area should anyone feel dehydrated.
What if I need medical assistance when I am at an event?
There is a welfare / medical point at all Pier Jam events with trained medics to help. If you or your friends feel at all unwell during the events, please visit the welfare / medic point to seek medical attention.
ENTRY POLICY:
How old do you have to be to attend Pier Jam Events?
All Pier Jam events (unless otherwise stated) are 18+ only events. All customers must be over the age of 18yrs old and will need to show ID upon entry and also at the bars. Pier Jam operates a Challenge 25 policy and refusal system. If you look under the age of 25 then the bar staff ask you to prove that you are over 18yrs old.
What time is last entry?
Last entry to all Pier Jam Shows (unless otherwise stated) is 5pm.
Will I be searched on the way in?
Everyone is searched on the way in as a condition of entry. This is for us to ensure that no one is carrying dangerous into the avenue.
What am I not allowed to bring into the venue?
Illegal substances
Alcohol
Liquids of any sorts - including perfumes / liquid makeup products / aerosols / drinks
Glass of any sorts
No food
No flares or fireworks
Selfie Sticks
Weapons of any descriptions or replicas
TICKET ENQUIRIES:
Can I only order tickets online?
Tickets are available online for all of our events at PIERJAM.COM We also have a list of official sales channels listed on our site. Please do not purchase from any other site.
On some events physical tickets may also be available to purchase. Official outlets will also be added to our website www.pierjam.com & on our social networks.
I would like to purchase a ticket from another person, but the ticket price is very expensive. Should I buy this ticket?
Only buy your tickets at our official sales channels which will be listed on our website www.pierjam.com This way you will never pay too much and you make sure your tickets are real. All tickets will be scanned and checked for authenticity at the entrance.
Will there be a ticket sale at the entry?
Yes there will be a very limited amount of tickets available for cash purchase at our Box Office on Hastings Pier.
What do I do if I have a ticket query?
For any queries regarding your tickets please contact company from which you have purchased them.
Can I get a refund for a ticket I have purchased, as I am no longer able to attend?
Unfortunately as stated in the ticket terms and conditions, we operate a no refund policy.
I am considering buying a VIP ticket, what benefits do I receive for being a VIP ticket holder?
This can vary from event to event, but in general VIP ticket holders gain access into the venue via a separate entrance as well as access to the VIP area which has it's own bar and toilet areas.
I have purchased a standard ticket, but my friends have purchased VIP tickets. Am I able to upgrade?
Dependent on availability you may be able to upgrade your ticket. You will need to contact the company from which you purchased your ticket. The general policy will be that you need to purchase the VIP ticket and then after this has been processed, you will be refunded for the standard ticket.
CUSTOMER SAFETY:
Be Drug Safe
Pier Jam does not condone the use of drugs at their events. As a condition of entry all customers must undertake a search to ensure that no drugs or any other dangerous items are taken within the venue.
No drugs are safe but if you do take drugs please wait for them to take effect before taking more. Mixing drugs with alcohol can also be extremely dangerous.
Welfare Area
There is a welfare / medical point at all Pier Jam events with trained medics to help. If you or your friends feel at all unwell during the events, please visit the welfare / medic point to seek medical attention.
Friend Welfare
Hastings Pier is a large-scale venue, which occasionally can be easy to lose your friends at. Please follow the following tips to ensure that you are able to meet up with your friends again. We advise you to not make your own way home or leave the venue on your own. Please look out for each other's welfare at any event.
1. Before heading to the event, please ensure your phone is fully charged.
2. Before entering the event, agree a meeting point for you all to meet up at in the eventuality of becoming spilt up from your friends and your phone losing charge or being lost.
If at the end of the event, after following these tips, you still cannot locate your friends and are concerned about getting home, please contact a member of a welfare team who are located on site.
LOST & FOUND
Pier Jam advises all customers to ensure that they keep their belongings such as phones, ID, wallets, purses on their persons at all times.
Pier Jam has a lost property desk based at the security office based near the entrance into the event. If you lose something on the night, please go to the desk to report it lost / stolen and if we find it we will do everything possible to get it back to you.
If we don't reunite you on the night please click email us at info@pierjam.com with a full description of the item(s) you have misplaced and we will let you know if your items have turned up once we have finished the clear up after the event.
