My name is Emma Camp of Totalfitness, and I believe one of the most important factors in choosing a personal trainer is finding somebody that’s right for you, so I’d like to tell you about myself, and what Totalfitness is about. If you feel I’d be right for you and your goals then great! If not, I hope you find the right person to help you on your way. Having gone through my childhood as an overweight child, I experienced a fair share of bullying about my weight. As I grew older though, I found myself at the other end of the spectrum being drastically underweight suffering from severe eating disorders. I have fought hard to overcome these, and now find myself in a place where I’m not concerned with the scales or dress sizes, but with being healthy inside and out. Being born with hip dysplasia which went undiagnosed, I underwent a total hip replacement at the age of 34. I’m still trying to rehabilitate myself and my body, it’s an ongoing struggle but I don’t like to give in. I also have 2 beautiful children which can mean finding time and energy to fit in training sessions can be challenging. And if I can’t get away, I try to improvise and adapt my training to include them. Making it fun and rewarding for everyone. These things, amongst others, give me a great insight into how it is to try to improve your health, body and mind while suffering from physical and or mental problems, or when you’re simply a busy parent trying to find some Me time. If you’re somebody that feels you can’t get fitter or healthier because of some issue, we can try to work around that. To adapt and tailor make training routines and styles that overcome any obstacles. While I can help somebody to work towards that body they want, my primary focus is on improving people’s quality of life, mental wellbeing and physical abilities. I want to educate and inspire people to improve their quality of life where possible with a fun and encouraging approach to exercise. If you’re interested in starting your journey with me or have any questions, just send a message and I’ll be happy to help.
