At Old Town Osteopathy we take a holistic approach to therapy, acknowledging the importance of structural balance in maintaining optimal bodily functioning. This concept can benefit many medical and mechanical conditions and serves to reduce the likelihood of symptom recurrence by not only treating your symptoms, but also the initial cause of them. Osteopaths use a variety of techniques tailored to you as an individual, including soft tissue and joint mobilisation, massage and manipulation. We also endeavour to aid our patients in managing ongoing conditions themselves, and can offer education about the problem, postural advice and exercises for that purpose. Conditions we can treat include:

• Back Pain and Sciatica
• Neck pain and Associated Headaches
• Joint and Muscular Pain/Tension
• 'Trapped Nerves'
• Arthritic/Rheumatic Pain
• Sports/Repetitive Strain Injuries
• Circulatory and Digestive Problems

Good Luck to all my runners today! Lots of you were panicking about the weather, so very glad to see it's a beautifully sunny morning 😎. Hopefully that westerly wind will actually be quite welcome on those last 3 miles!

Just finishing a much needed break, after 10 months of running the clinic single handedly 🥴! It has come to my attention that my voicemail stopped working somewhere in the last 8 days 🤦🏻‍♀️, and that some of you may have been met with a greeting saying it was not possible to connect your call, and no option to leave a message 🙄. I think most of you will have already thought to text/email me, but just to clear up any confusion and reassure those who didn't - I haven't suddenly shut up shop and upped sticks!!! I will be back in England tomorrow (Sunday), and back in the Hastings clinic from 11/12 (although currently very booked up until January).

A 'Goodbye and Thank You' post for two of our Osteopaths....

Charlotte worked her last day last week, after helping us out for almost 2 years, and has built a very loyal patient list. We know she'll be very missed, and so will do our very best to continue looking after all of her patients. She needs to devote her time more to family life and school schedules right now, but will always be very welcome to come back to us in the future.

Becky had joined us a year ago, and had already gained quite a following. However; her additional qualifications in Dog Osteopathy, and the opportunity to start her own canine practice, meant that she needed to free up some time. She left us in October, so this is a very belated goodbye post!

Losing two practitioners so close together has inevitably left us pretty short handed at the clinic, but we have been doing our best to fit everyone in, and appreciate your patience around this. Thankfully we FINALLY have some good news to share with you regarding a new practitioner, so watch out for our next post!!!

Meet our new Osteopath, Becky! She's going to be joining us on Thursdays from now on, which should really help reduce the current wait time for an appointment.

Becky graduated from the European School of Osteopathy with an integrated Masters degree. She has also done further training in Sports Massage and Kinesio-Taping; and recently completed a canine osteopathy course 🐶!

Becky has a keen interest in endurance sports, and equestrian sports, and is a keen runner herself. These activities can hugely benefit from Osteopathy, through improved dynamic performance from a better functioning body, and with the added bonus of reduced injury risk! As someone who hates being told to stop doing things, she has a passion for helping people find solutions in order to continue with things they love and enjoy, to the best of their ability.
