Some doors are made of wood.
Some are made of initiation. As I will be soon walking out a another door in to and space it has made me reflect on the door I walked through in 2024.
In 2024 I walked through this one you see in the photo and sat in a sacred container with held by Shipibo and Q’ero wisdom, with Ayahuasca, San Pedro and Mama Cacao guiding the unseen currents.
When I walked back out, my voice was not the same.
During my Ayahuasca journey I found myself singing ancient, ancestral songs which felt like they were from the earth in a language my mind did not know, yet my body remembered. Every sound carried weight. Every vibration felt like it had travelled centuries to reach my lungs. I was not a singer before this. But something woke. Something that had been perhaps been waiting.
For over a year I have been gently integrating that awakening, allowing the voice to unfold through my sound sessions. It still feels vulnerable at times. It still asks for courage. Yet the calling is clear. These channeled tones are not for performance. They are for frequency. For remembrance. For the places in us that respond before thought.
I walked in as one version of myself.
I walked out carrying a different resonance.
Eternally grateful for the gift, for the teachers, for the medicine, and for the way it continues to shape me. 🌿
Some doors do not close behind you. They open inside you.
