The Laurels

The Laurels The Laurels Care Centre is a registered nursing home in the seaside town of Hastings in East Sussex.

The Laurels Nursing and Residential Home is set in its own beautiful private gardens and only a short distance from the picturesque Old Town of Hastings and its seafront. The Home Providers are Mr Jas & Mrs Baljit Thind, and the Home Manager is Sara Phillips. The aim of The Laurels is to provide the highest levels of care to all its residents; We are very proud of our first-class reputation for re

sidential, respite and nursing care. The Laurels can accommodate up to 50 residents in private rooms and we have double rooms for couples or relations.

Life at the Laurels recently! 💞

With the weather heating up life at the laurels is getting more exciting! We started our week by weighted exercises growing our muscles! 💪 Then took a trip to Zimbabwe making some lovely arts & crafts while tasting some beautiful food! 🇿🇼 We then baked some lovely white chocolate cookies! 🍪 Played some card games in the hot sun and then Ben hosted Bongo Bingos! And finally we started getting prepared for Wimbledon with some fun arts and crafts! 🎾 🎾

So far this week at the laurels it’s been hot and exciting! 💞

The suns out so you know we spent our days in the sun! Making sure all our plants are watered and cared for! 💐 We attempted to make our own fudge, we will try again 😂 we celebrated the special Anne’s birthday with a beautiful cake! 🎂 and today we spent the morning making our own flower baskets and started our woodwork class in the lovely hot sun! 🔨💞

A WEEK OF WONDERFUL ACTIVITIES 💖

What an amazing week we had! Starting are week with yoga getting our body moving! 🧘‍♀️ Then we took a trip to Nepal making some Lizards and trying some beautiful food! 🇳🇵Lots of baking, chats and gardening with the sun coming out! We also celebrated our carers for all the hard work they do daily 💪 ❤️

FINAL DAY:

As we close off our exciting Laurels Olympics we want to say thank you for everyone that took part to make this week as special as possible for all our residents 💞 from visitors to staff everyone’s weeks was brightened up by you ❤️ but as much as it was all fun and games we have ended up with a winner…. it was all to play for coming into the last two events Tug of War & Pass the pig! 🐷 with some big performances it was PURPLE TEAM that came out on top! 💜 Congratulations!

As we near the end of our Olympics week we turn to our Discuss and Darts events. With lots of eager eyes on this event it was Pink Team that took the cake! Some very impressive throws from all competitors today! With only 3 points between 1st and 2nd it’s all to play for in final day! 🏅🏅🏅

Yesterday in DAY 3:

Our big Co****le and 100m walking race events took place yesterday with high expectations coming into this with the Red Team. But it was the Purple team that took the 1st place in both events! It’s all to play for in the 2nd half of the games. Who will come out on top? Stay tuned! ✨❤️
