Read this to see what results we're training for in the next 6 weeks πŸ‘‡

Random workouts = random progress.

You show up, try your best, you probably have fun too...but nothing changes. Your clothes fit the same. Hills with the buggy are just as hard. 🫠

Because there's no plan. No strategy. No real, measurable improvements.

It's different here at Wise Mamas. We plan our classes in 6-8 week blocks. Clear focus. Clear results.

We build week by week. Your confidence grows. Your skills and strength too.

Our new 6 week block is starting today - here's what we'll be working on πŸ‘‡

πŸ’œ Monday: Pull-ups & all the strength exercises we need to get there πŸ’ͺ
πŸ’š Tuesday: Overhead and shoulder strength, baby! Strict, push and jerk movements - working the whole body πŸ™Œ
πŸ’› Wednesday: Cardio conditioning - longer training solo and in teams πŸ”₯
🩷 Thursday: Front squats - building core strength & great squat technique
πŸ’™ Friday: Olympic lifts - the clean! Get confident under the barbell πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ

This is how you get your first pull up or lift heavier than ever before πŸ”₯

Expert coaching. Progressive programming. Real results.

That thumbs up to middle finger transition πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ you can always give us honest feedback in our classes πŸ˜… Our mamas never shy away from sharing their thoughts... They even do it in sync 😜

"During your follicular phase, oestrogen is HIGH ✨ Lift heavy and push your HIIT! In your luteal phase there's more progesterone πŸŒ™ your body craves REST and GENTLENESS. keep your feminine cyclical energy away from intensity. Stretching and long walks."

Here we could add a graph with all the pretty lines and numbers. πŸ“Š
It'd all look professional. Empowering.

But it's all complete BS
Great on socials and infographics, but still πŸ’© advice

Here's what the research actually says πŸ‘‡

Hormones change through your cycle. Obvs.
But the impact this has on your symptoms/training is vastly different for every woman. Also obvs.
Anyone who's ever talked to her friends about their cycle will know we're all so different

For most women, their cycles don't have a significant impact on their training. They definitely don't need to avoid intensity 2 weeks a month πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Some women notice significant strength or intensity changes. But even for them, there's no
universal "do this day 1-16, do that from ovulation" protocol that works for everyone

Nope. Doesn't exist.
Interesting theory but clearly disproven by actual research.

*The Wise Mamas Method*
Before you train each day, check in with yourself - how are you feeling? How did you sleep? Are you feeling crampy and meh, or have you got some serious rage to unleash (cycles vary πŸ˜…)? Where's your battery at?
Adjust your training effort to what's reasonable and wise for today, with what you've got. Keep showing up. Stay consistent.

Over time you will learn your patterns. You will anticipate some things. But as long as you check in every session and train for your needs, you'll be getting the best results. 1M times better than following the advice of some confused influencer and their cute Canva chart 😜

We don't follow trends. We follow research and our own experience on the gym floor every day.

Between the WMF trio:
β€’ 20+ years combined PT experience
β€’ 10+ years midwifery
β€’ Masters in Clinical Research
β€’ Level 4 PT qualifications

Evidence-based training. Individualised support. Zero trendy BS. The best community.

That's the Wise Mamas standard.

Can you relax your pelvic floor?
Because the truth is your pelvic floor isn't supposed to be as strong as possible. It's supposed to work like a trampoline - adapting, responding to pressures quickly.

While some people may benefit from pelvic floor exercises, especially after birth, this should be suggested after a proper assessment by a pelvic health physio (step 1). Not everybody needs them and they can make things worse in some cases.

Step 2 is proper movement training. Understanding how your WHOLE body affects your pelvic floor. Strategies to stay strong, confident and adaptable.

That's what we focus on - pregnancy through postnatal life and beyond.

Stop waiting to feel better. Start moving towards a stronger you now

The 6-week rule is outdated. That "mild/moderate prolapse" at your postnatal GP check is just nonsense. You're still healing, babe! You need proper recovery, not scary labels.

Here's what the research actually shows: women who start their recovery in the early weeks recover faster and better.

Not high intensity. Not "bounce back" BS.
We start with breathwork. Core coordination. Gradual, guided progressions.

That's what we do in our Postnatal Program - whether you're 1 or 12 months postpartum.

12 weeks to get stronger. Evidence-based. Expert-led.
Starts 4th Feb - Wednesdays 10.30am.
Only a few spaces left.

Stop accepting "take it easy" as your only option.

You need to rehab.

Safe, evidence-based progressions.
Expert coaching.
Babies always welcome.
A community of women who get it.
