Yesterday, our team at Portsdown View Care Home put together a lovely lunch for our resident Maureen and her friends as they came together to celebrate Maureen’s heavenly sister, Kerry.

Kerry, who would have turned 70 year was beautifully remembered with champagne, wine, and a delicious three-course meal specially prepared by our Chef.

From picking their favourite horses to enjoying the atmosphere together, it was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and friendly competition. Some of our residents even had a lucky streak! 🍀

Today we had a truly egg-stra special guest hop into our care home… the Easter Bunny! 🐣💐

There were smiles all around as residents enjoyed sweet treats, laughter, and a lovely stroll down memory lane sharing Easter traditions. The joy on everyone’s faces was simply priceless 💛

This week has been filled with the sweetest little moments as our residents enjoyed a very special visit from some adorable baby lambs and fluffy ducklings 🐑🐥

There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of cuddles as everyone had the chance to get up close with these gentle little visitors. It’s amazing how much joy animals can bring – lighting up faces and creating such heartwarming memories 💛

We had some very special visitors at the care home today 🦅✨

Our residents enjoyed an unforgettable birds of prey experience, getting up close with these magnificent creatures. From the powerful wings to their striking features, it was a truly fascinating and joyful afternoon for everyone.

There were plenty of smiles, wonderful conversations, and even a few brave residents who had the chance to hold the birds! Moments like these bring so much happiness and create lasting memories.

She has been attending specialist training with OHK at the Gordon Ramsay Academy, developing new skills and techniques to enhance our IDDSI meals.

This training focuses on creating dishes that not only meet safe texture requirements, but also deliver on nutrition, balance, and visual appeal — because everyone deserves meals that look as good as they taste.
