Hereditary eye disease can affect all breeds and may lead to pain, reduced vision or blindness. Regular eye testing helps owners and breeders make informed decisions and supports healthier future generations. The BVA Eye Scheme screens for inherited eye conditions before breeding and throughout a dog’s life.

"As we reach the end of my journey with Cosmo, I just want to say a huge thank you to the amazing team at Optivet ❤️

On our final appointment, Chris and Kimberley went above and beyond - staying late to make sure I had time to say goodbye. I only had 6 days with him after his diagnosis, but his condition worsened quickly and I had to make the hardest decision to end his suffering.

The bond we shared was so strong, and he’ll always be deeply missed 🐾

I’m so grateful for all the support from the entire team - from Bryony helping behind the scenes to Chris & Kim being there every step of the way. Your compassion has meant everything and made such a difficult time a little easier.

Thank you for showing it’s more than just a job 💙"
