🌾🎉 The Food Story – ONE MONTH TO GO ! 🎉🌾

The Food Story is BACK for 2026 and this year's theme is "Let's Celebrate". The event will take place on 11th & 12th February, and we’re excited to welcome children from Year 2 to Year 6 for a fun and educational experience all about food and farming!

Across morning and afternoon sessions, children will learn:
🌱 Where food comes from
🚜 How it’s grown and harvested
🍎 What delicious things can be made with it

The sessions include hands-on activities led by volunteer farmers and local businesses, opportunities to taste locally grown produce, learn about farming practices, and even see animals up close 🐑🐄

Our morning sessions are fully booked with local schools but we still have limited spaces available in the afternoon sessions. If your school would like to join us, please get in touch as soon as possible by emailing jo.davies@pembsshow.org to book 📧

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers – this event simply wouldn’t be possible without you. If you have a farming or education background and would like to help with The Food Story, we’d love to hear from you 💙

The path to pregnancy is not always straight forward. In fact, globally it is estimated that 1 in 6 couples are struggling with fertility.

So if you are preparing to start or add to your family, Reproflexology™ may help you to conceive naturally or with medical assistance.

Successful patient case studies include:

💙 Would-be mums who want to be fully prepared to start their family
💙 Couples and individuals undergoing conventional fertility treatment to aid conception, e.g. IVF, IUI, ICSI
💙 Women and men seeking a complementary therapy to help relieve the pain and symptoms of reproductive conditions
💙 Couples who have already tried more conventional methods to help them conceive or to relieve ongoing pain and symptoms
💙 Women seeking help and guidance during pregnancy.

On our website you can find a global directory of reproductive reflexologists, specially trained to support parents to be.

We build relationships with key partners in the fertility space to help our Mums and Dads to be.

One of those partners is XY Fertility. Due to our collaboration with them we can offer our families a home male fertility analysis kit for postal testing. So our Dads to be can be in the comfort of their own home.

Our members of the association of reproductive reflexologists can help you with this, please reach out to them for more information.

When it comes to fertility and creating life it takes two!

We offer reflexology to men, to support fertility. In addition, there are a few alterations to diet and lifestyle that we know from research are recommended.

Remember, these do not have to be forever, it is just whilst you are trying to conceive:

✅ Reduce alcohol to no more than 4 units a week, not beer, preferably red wine.
✅ Eliminate Caffeine. Remember this is in tea, coffee, chocolate, fizzy drinks.
✅ Increase vegetable and fruit intake to 5 portions a day, preferably organic.
✅ Reduce intake of red meat, increase intake of fish and poultry, again organic where possible.
✅Wear loose fitting trousers and underpants to keep the testicles cool. They should be 2 degrees cooler than body temperature. S***m don’t like heat, it can cause morphology issues.
✅ No intensive muscle building exercise, as testosterone can be diverted to muscle building rather than s***m production, and you could end up with a lowered count.
✅ Absolutely no smoking or drug taking! Both of these have a very damaging effect upon s***m.

All that you ingest or are exposed to can effect not only the s***m production and formation, but also the DNA. Poor s***m DNA can lead to conception difficulties and repeated miscarriage.

Have a skin issue? Here’s a handy image to use to assess the problem.

The skin, our body’s largest organ, can be affected by a wide variety of conditions—some mild, others more serious.

Common skin issues include acne, which results from clogged pores and can lead to pimples and cysts, and eczema, a chronic condition marked by itchy, inflamed rashes. Other frequently seen problems are psoriasis, which causes red, scaly patches; rosacea, known for facial redness and bumps; and hives, sudden raised welts triggered by allergies or stress.

These conditions often appear with symptoms like rashes, flaking, or bumps, and while some are temporary, others may require long-term care.

Beyond these, infections also affect the skin. Bacterial infections like cellulitis involve painful swelling and warmth; fungal infections such as ringworm or athlete’s foot thrive in moist areas; and viral infections like shingles cause painful rashes from dormant viruses. More serious concerns include skin cancer, where abnormal cells grow and may spread, and autoimmune-related issues like alopecia areata, which causes patchy hair loss, and vitiligo, where skin loses pigment. Recognizing the symptoms and seeking early medical attention is key to managing these diverse skin conditions effectively.

Many women come to see our reproductive reflexologists feeling frustrated and disheartened after trying to conceive without success. Often, they’ve never been taught how their menstrual cycle truly works or how small imbalances can affect fertility.

One of the things we spend a lot of time on is education. Understanding your cycle is so important when trying to get pregnant.

We offer specialised reflexology for fertility, but our support goes beyond that. We often use tools like OvuSense and cycle tracking to gain deeper insights, and we help women understand things like their luteal phase length, ovulation timing, and progesterone levels.

The luteal phase is the second half of your cycle, starting after ovulation and ending when your next period begins. It’s during this time that your body prepares for a potential pregnancy. If this phase is too short or not properly supported, it can make it harder to conceive.

What we often see is that under stress, the cycle can become irregular or imbalanced. That’s why our approach focuses on gently supporting and rebalancing each phase of the cycle, while also holding space for the emotional side of this journey.

If you’ve been trying to conceive and feel like something’s being missed, know that there is help available. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Our reproductive reflexologists are here to listen, to guide, and to support you every step of the way.
