Barney my smallest pony just finishing off his session with some carrot stretches .I see him every 6 weeks to help keep him supple and happy so he can use himself correctly and stay strong and fit and sound for his young rider Flissy who adores him! He had quite a nasty injury just over a year ago and thanks to his owners patience and rehabbing skills he has made a full recovery and will be off to pony club rallies over the summer.

Not too much up with Jack today! He felt great and he loved his treatment.

Went to watch training over fences today . All the horses looked in excellent fit condition. It was so interesting for me to watch the horses technique and balance while negotiating the obstacles and how the young horses improved as their confidence built as they continued around the course. All the jockeys showed their experience and tact allowing the horses to enjoy the run and look forward to their next outing.
On top of that it was a beautiful day and lovely to be up and out so early.

Abbie Willmott Racing's Laura's Girl nodded off when she was getting her treatment today so... lovely loose muscles and no stress for Saturday at the Welsh international point to point. But don't worry she is like a rocket on the race course !

Good luck at Lark Hill!

Good luck at Lark Hill!

With today’s meeting at Chaddeslay Corbett being cancelled (now abandoned), it has left a hole in the two meetings on Sunday.

At Larkhill (Wiltshire) the Larkhill Racing Club hold their meeting, first race off at 11.30 with the Conditions (Level 2) Race.

They have received 122 entries for the seven-race card. Larkhill is about 90 miles from Cardiff, Post Code SP3 4DT.

A few Welsh entries: Abbie Willmott has entered Powerstown Park in the Conditions (Level 2) and in the Mens Open Races. A winner of five races under rules for Sam Thomas, was last seen out (under rules) at the Cheltenham festival in March (Kim Muir Challenge Cup). Pulled up in a point to point at Great Trethew in November.

Abbie has Dr Des entered in the Conditions (Level 3) Race for Novice Riders, Josh Barber will ride.

Nick Williams has Dan Daly (pulled up here at the beginning of December) entered in the Maiden Race, Daniel Ellis will ride.

On Sunday Bradley Gibbs has entered My Little Toni at the Thurlow meeting at Horseheath (Cambridgeshire). To be ridden by Archie Loweth. A winner at Larkhill last February and a hurdle race winner at Sedgefield for Donald McCain in September 2022.

Best of luck.
