STATEMENT: from Dyfed-Powys Police
We are aware of concerns raised by residents following reports of door-to-door salespeople operating in the Haverfordwest, Fishguard and St David’s area.
Local officers, along with our Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Teams, are working to establish the legitimacy of these salespeople and will be carrying out patrols while enquiries progress.

We would also encourage residents to continue reporting any suspicious activity to us via any of the below methods.

⚠️ Important Reminder for Medical Cannabis Patients

This story was sent in to us by a concerned supporter of our community, and it highlights something extremely important for medical cannabis patients to understand.

A patient with a legal medical cannabis prescription recently appeared in court after smoking their prescribed cannabis mixed with to***co.

In the UK, most prescriptions for cannabis flower specifically state that it should be vaporised, not smoked. When cannabis is smoked — especially in a joint with to***co — it can be viewed as not using the medication in accordance with the prescription.

This can unfortunately lead to situations where patients end up facing legal issues despite having a valid prescription.

The key takeaway for patients is this:

• Always carry proof of your prescription
• Keep medication in its original labelled packaging
• Follow the prescribed method of consumption ( vaporisation)
• Avoid mixing with to***co or rolling joints

Medical cannabis patients already face enough stigma and misunderstanding, so it’s really important we protect ourselves.

Education and harm reduction are key to making sure patients remain safe and protected.
