Tuesday 13th January, we are meeting at Westend Church, Withersfield Road, Haverhill CB9 9LA from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

We're a friendly group helping one another through the minefield that is DEMENTIA. All volunteers have hands-on experience of caring for someone on this journey & can give valuable advice.

£2 pp is all it costs per member, including all hot or cold drinks, biscuits, a slice of birthday cake, & all activities. We are affordable for all & intend to stay that way, not having increased our membership price since our formation 8 years ago.

We are always looking for extra volunteers, as the more we have the more help we can offer members. Whether you could help with activities, talk to our carer members, interact with everyone or help in the kitchen, there is a perfect place suitable for most!

Terrific Tuesdays last get together before Christmas will be on Tuesday 16th December 11 am - 2 pm at Westend Church Withersfield Road Haverhill CB9 9LA

As it's our last meeting this year we're making it a bit special by adding traditional festive food alongside our normal lunch selection & the Christmas Chocolates will be passed around, I'm sure⛪🎅🥳🎄🎁

REACH a fabulous local charity based in West Suffolk will also be in attendance talking about the services & advice they provide when someone is diagnosed with a memory loss condition like Dementia.

Finally may we wish everyone living with a Dementia type condition, their families & their carers the type of Christmas they can handle best & need. There's no one type of "perfect Christmas" so be grateful for togetherness & celebrate however YOU choose.

What a wonderful group of lovely people, who spent a fantastic morning with Terrific Tuesdays Dementia Club from the Haverhill U3A Choir. 🎹🎤 🎼

"Huge thanks from everyone at Terrific Tuesday's for coming along, in good voice , to sing such a lovely selection of Christmas Carols for us. The performance took many members back to happy family Christmas times, from the past, and really gave us all such a wonderful seasonal boost. "

Tuesday 9th December, joining TT in a seasonal singsong will be Haverhill U3A Choir, so hoping everyone will come along & join in.

For just £2 pp, which even includes hot & cold drinks, biscuits, & usually a slice of birthday cake & all your entertainment & activities.

Feel free to just come along, read the papers or catch up with your newfound dementia friends. No pressure from us to do anything.

From 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, you'll find us this week at the West End Congregational Church, Withersfield Road, Haverhill, CB9 9LA.

Tuesday, 2nd December, and we're back at the West End Church. This week's entertainment is BINGO with two FREE cards for all, with loads of prizes to be won, for a top line & full house.

Hopefully, we'll have some new faces join us on Tuesday as a few people have been in contact asking about our fabulous club!🤩

Price still frozen at £2 per member per week which includes hot & cold drinks all of the session, biscuits & your BINGO cards & a slice of cake as it's probably someone's birthday🎂

If you or a loved one, have been diagnosed with dementia or are waiting for a diagnosis come along, meet like-minded people for support, friendship & assistance regarding help from the state.

It was a great lunchtime with our volunteers dressed in the new bright yellow uniform T- Shirts made and donated by Holly at CustoMe and our amazing members eating at the The Flying Shuttle

What a great time the Terrific Tuesday Dementia Club had at The Flying Shuttle Tuesday 25th November. Thanks for looking after us, 5***** food & service!

Thanks also to everyone for getting into the " Christmas Spirit " in November. Lots of Christmas jumpers & even the odd set of antlers & Christmas earrings around the packed tables.

Huge thanks to Withersfield Carpet Bowls Club for their very kind donation, enabling this to even be considered & then to happen

Thanks to Holly at CustoMe for supplying all our volunteers with fabulous, eye-catching, bright yellow t-shirts. Don't we look great!

Finally, but not least, huge thanks must go to Susan Human, who helped with the fundraiser initially, as a member of BOTH clubs. She organised the meal for us, liaising between all our members & The Flying Shuttle, bringing a long list of what we'd all pre-ordered on the day, & collecting the tip from us all to our fab waiter.

We hope to be able to do something similar next year, so if anyone can help us with a fundraiser or donations, PLEASE get in contact.

Tuesday 25th November, a month before Christmas, we are all going out for our pre-booked Christmas Lunch at The Flying Shuttle where we will wish each other the compliments of the season.
For some of us it is a happy time getting together with family but for some of our members, coping with Christmas and Dementia can be problematic. Hard for others remembering the joys of Christmas spent with their loved ones in past years.
Our Terrific Tuesdays Christmas meal is always a lovely occasion and this year's get together is very special as it is partially funded by the proceeds of an event raising money for our members by Withersfield Carpet Bowls Club.
