Thickened Toe Nails- known as Onychauxus, results from trauma ( ill fitting footwear), age related circulatory issues, and fungal infections( Onychomycosis).

As a Foot Health Professional, I will reduce the thickness, using electric burs (debridement), provide regular trimming, and advise on the underlying causes.

If painful or severely deformed, permanent removal (nail avulsion) via local anesthetic maybe required. Therefore referral details would be provided.

Over 4.6 million people have Diabetes and its on the increase.

What is it?
Diabetes is from high blood sugars damaging nerves (neuropathy) and blood vessels (poor circulation). Leading to loss of sensation in feet, lower limbs. being unable to feel cuts, blisters, or pressure sores.

Who’s at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes?

Cracked Skin (Fissures) Do you suffer with it?

These cracks can deepen over time, making walking uncomfortable and increasing the risk of infection.
