Sending love to all my clients who suffer with fibromyalgia.

There are many, many varied views on how fibromyalgia should be treated. A UK fibromyalgia charity has some information on alternative treatments which can be used as self help for those living with fibromyalgia

‘There is limited empirical research to substantiate the use of alternative therapies. However, more focused on-going research is beginning to recognise some physiological and emotional benefits

Massage therapy
Massage encourages muscle relaxation, blood flow and lymph drainage. In particular, deep-stroking massage can be used to tackle trigger points resulting from the prolonged contraction of muscle sarcomeres within a taut band of muscle. Some fibromyalgia patients will only be able to cope with a very light massage at first, needing to build up gradually.’

If you would like to explore how I could support you with your fibromyalgia diagnosis through massage or reflexology, please send me a message.

It is with great sadness I am announcing that I’m closing my business, I will be staying in the health industry and am taking up a roll at Addenbrookes in the Breast Unit.

I would like to thank all of my lovely clients for being so loyal and supportive during the past six years.

I’ve been so lucky that you have made my work so enjoyable, and have trusted me with your care, I have loved every moment I’ve spent with you all.

If you have unused vouchers these are still valid and I will continue to be available on Saturdays for you to use these. Please just message me to arrange.

Thank you again for your continued support, I will miss you all, take care.

I love a cuppa and have been moving from my morning coffee across to herbal teas in an attempt to be healthier.

I usually struggle with herbal teas as they normally smell great but the taste is always a bit too ‘weak squash’ for me, BUT - I’ve found this amazing small family business who’s teas really do pack a punch flavour wise and are delicious hot or over ice (perfect for the very infrequent sunny days we’ve been having). My favourites are the sparkling raspberry and spicy lime.

So if any of my lovely clients fancy something a bit more interesting than your usual builders brew, pop over, give the page a like, and order some, you really won’t regret it!

I recently posted about how I had started working out online with JLC Fitness. Well Jorgia has an amazing offer on for April, Jorgia Weeks PT is offering a two week free trial of her female fitness classes to new ladies, this includes both her online and outdoor classes.

I regularly attend around four of Jorgia’s classes each week after joining back in February, they’re great fun and I even get myself out of bed on a Sunday morning to join in, so they must be good!

The sessions are suitable for all abilities and your first two weeks in April are free.

Please comment below or contact her so we can get it sorted and workout together, I am missing all my lovely ladies so much, it would be great to see you at some of Jorgia’s classes, it'll be fun and you'll get in great shape!

A little bit of foot reading fun!

Researchers working with UK-based online retailer OnBuy.com surveyed more than 5,000 people and asked them to identify their feet based on key features such as width and toe placement.

I have struggled in the recent lockdown with my mental health, but decided at the start of February, after seeing a FB post, to take advantage of the offer of free classes and join Jorgia Weeks PT zoom fitness sessions.
I've attended 3 sessions a week since the start of February and I am feeling much better in myself for the exercise and more 'me' again.
There is one week left of the free classes offer, so if any of my lovely ladies are feeling the 'slump' that I was, I would highly recommend giving Jorgia's sessions a try, you seriously have nothing to lose!

Nearly another month has passed us...

Has it been another month just thinking about starting or re-starting exercising!? 🤔

Now is seriously one of the best times to get involved! 🤟🏽

▪️Nervous... You don’t need to know anyone at class, your staying at home! 🏡

▫️No childcare... No troubles, you can workout with or around the children! 👶🏼

▪️Not local... Even if you can’t drive, it doesn’t matter, we’re streaming live to you! 🚗

▫️Unfit... There’s always a low impact & pre/postnatal friendly alternative. And another bonus to being at home.. rest whenever you need too! 💪🏽

We’re still a female only class! 💃🏼 and if you feel more comfortable you can exercise with your camera off (at your own risk) 📷

Drop us a message with any questions, concerns or if you just want information on how to join us! 📧

Share with your friends, get exercising & get those feel good endorphins flowing!! It’s the best thing for your mental health! 🔈🥰

Someday when we are older and much bigger than right now. We might just ask about the year the world turned upside down.
When lots was lost, but some things found in struggles steep uphill, when schools and shops and businesses all quietly stood still.
And one day when we are older, we might talk about how life changed, how we learnt new ways to do things in a world so rearranged.
But while we are still growing here’s what I think I’ll do, I’ll ask you to talk about all the good things you did from the year we muddled though.

Here’s to health, happiness and 2021
Happy new year everyone

I've always found meditation to be very helpful and this year I've not taken the time to look after myself, so I am making a conscious effort to carve some time out and find myself again starting with Sarah Louise Gibbs Mindfullness and Meditation course. Sarah will be running this course via zoom starting in January, if like me you've gotten a little lost this year and need some time for you, why not sign up and give it a try!

Many women struggle to find a work/ life balance & 2020 has certainly brought additional challenges for most of us leaving so many women, including myself, feeling overwhelmed & worn out. 😔

“YES” I teach self care strategies & even I have been pushed to near burn out with some of the challenges 2020 have brought 😓

Thankfully I have a toolkit for self care & it goes well beyond a bubble bath & a glass of wine. Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness have become a big part of my life but many people don’t know where to start with meditation. 🧘‍♀️

Well there is a program that can help 🙏

Zenwoman is a 7 week programme designed to blend age-old meditation practices with mindfulness & gratitude, to truly help the busy modern woman 💜

I will be starting a new course this coming January, to find out more or book your space simply comment under this post or send me a private message 📧

✨ This course is also available 1-1

Here's to a healthy and improved 2021 and hopes to see you all in the not too distant future.

Take care and stay safe.

So the reason I am not yet back to work is that Aiden had his long awaited surgery last Tuesday, which ended up being more involved than originally planned.

Due to Covid there were strict restrictions in place meaning only one parent could be with him at a time.

Being in hospital with your child who has undergone major surgery, required blood transfusions and developed terrible anxiety from the number of blood tests and cannula's being put into him was tough. I wont lie, I felt overwhelmed, exhausted and drained from trying to stay positive for Aiden while missing Owen and Gareth.

Happy to report we were discharged yesterday and Aiden is so much happier and comfortable now he is home, as am I.

A wonderful mummy friend from the boys school dropped me round a lovely care package today, I will be taking full advantage of the boys and Gareth having a fortnite tournament tonight, and will indulge in a relaxing bath with my chocolate and cider!
