During menopause, declining estrogen levels can accelerate muscle loss + decrease bone density.

Strength training helps counteract these changes by preserving lean muscle mass and improving bone strength.

Resistance exercises can reduce the risk of osteoporosis and fractures, which become more common after menopause.

Strength training also supports joint health, balance, and functional independence, which are especially important during and after the menopausal transition.

Beyond physical benefits, consistent resistance training can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and support better sleep—helping to ease some of the common symptoms of menopause 💪🏽

Pilates isn’t a quick fix it’s an investment!

Each week we invest in improving our bodies.
We utilise slow controlled movements.
We aim to recruit the correct muscles for our moves (however sometime there’s a few extra added as we’re all different)
We laugh in every class as exercise should be enjoyable and it does engage our tummy’s a little better

We don’t improve over night, but we do get better over time!

A member said to me the other week ‘when we started I couldn’t balance on 1 leg I had to really think about it, but now I just lift my leg and I’m balanced’ that is what’s it’s all about.

I feel proud to watch everyone improve each week and when they’d progress seeing the achievement is fantastic.

I’m so lucky to love what I do and share it with such fantastic people.
