Did you know we are a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Practice🥇
This means that the practice has met certain criteria to make your cat's visit the best that it can be.

Some of our cat friendly aspects include a cat only waiting area, a quiet cat only ward separated from other species, designated cattery with perches/hides and cat friendly handling techniques.

🐶We had Darcy the Great Dane in to visit a Nurse for her 2nd vaccination. At only 12 weeks old she weighed in at 19kg and we think she is going to be huge!
She curled herself up into a ball and fell fast asleep during her consultation💜.

Is your pet itchy?🐈

Although fleas are thought to be more prevalent in the Summer months, they can be found all year round! In the cooler months, turning the heating on in our homes can act as a like-for-like of our pet's body temperature, stimulating the flea lifecycle as eggs hatch in fomites before jumping onto our pets.

Therefore we recommend all year round preventative treatment against fleas in order to keep your pets happy, healthy and itch free! A free parasiticide consult with a vet is required to determine the correct treatment for your pet before we can prescribe a treatment for them.

Parasiticide treatments are included in our Pet Health for Life Plan - For more information, please visit our website! www.hawickvets.co.uk

Please give us a phone if you have any concerns about parasites or itching.
