The body remembers what the mind may try to forget.

Tension, fatigue, cravings, and even skin flare-ups — sometimes, these aren't just physical. They're how the body tells its story.

Bowen Therapy doesn’t force the body to “fix” anything.

Through light, purposeful touch, it supports the nervous system in settling, as best it can — not by pushing, but by inviting.

Gentle moves, deep listening.

Fascia — the body’s connective web — wraps around and supports every muscle, bone, nerve, and organ, holding the whole body together.

When it’s healthy, it helps us move with ease, stability, and flow.

When it’s tight or restricted, the whole body can feel it.

Gentle therapies like Bowen work with fascia, supporting the body’s ability to release tension and restore fluid movement, to the best of its ability.

Because when fascia feels free, so do you.

One of the most common things I hear is: “What actually is Bowen therapy, and how does it help?” So, I thought I’d put together a little Q&A to give you an idea of what to expect:

❓ How does it work?
Bowen uses gentle, rolling movements on specific areas of the body. These light touches stimulate your body’s own healing process – almost like giving it a little nudge to reset and rebalance.

⏱ How long is a session?
Usually between 45–60 minutes.

💡 How many treatments will I need?
Everyone is different. Many people feel changes within 1–3 sessions, while longer-term or complex conditions may need a few more.

🌿 What makes Bowen different from massage or physio?
It’s much gentler. There’s no force or manipulation – just light movements with pauses to let your body respond. Clients often notice shifts during the treatment itself.

👕 Do I need to undress?
Nope! You’ll stay fully clothed – just wear something loose and comfy.

💤 Can Bowen help with sleep, stress or anxiety?
Definitely. Bowen calms the nervous system, eases tension, and helps your body find its “rest and digest” state. Many people sleep better and feel less stressed after sessions.

🔥 What about pain, sciatica, or chronic conditions like arthritis or fibromyalgia?
Bowen helps relax tight muscles, improves blood flow, reduces pressure on nerves, and supports long-term conditions more comfortably.

✨ What does it feel like?
Relaxing. Some people feel warmth, tingling, or subtle shifts… others even drift off to sleep!

If you’re curious, why not give it a try? Whether you’ve got an ongoing issue or just want to support your general wellbeing, Bowen could help you too 💚

As we celebrate our 24th birthday today, it is fitting that we give a nod to the American hit TV series 24 that launched less than three months after we did. Whilst Jack Bauer has yet to return for a tenth season, we’ve enjoyed a renaissance of sorts this last seven-and-a-half months, after drastically extending our opening hours after the installation of our door entry system and adding in some great new kit to complete our best ever line-up.

4 workout areas – 90 pieces of kit – 109 hours access per week

The response has been phenomenal.

And we’re not done there. As we now enter our 25th year in business, we’ll be bringing you even more. Look out for even more official partnerships being announced, new and innovative products being introduced, all in the name of giving you the best possible platform to get the results you want!

Very soon we’ll be recognising our ‘Gym Heroes’ – some of our members that inspire others to achieve. We look forward to announcing the recipient of our first award of many in the coming weeks.

Whether you’ve never been a member, or you have previously and fancy coming back, we’d love to see you, so get in touch. There’s always a joining deal to be had!

CLIENT RESULTS 💚

Great to see a recent client achieve these great results:

The client in the photo came to me for Bowen therapy treatment after her Pilates teacher noticed her alignment was off during a class. At her third Bowen appointment, her alignment was presenting correctly. The difference in her posture is clear to see in her hips and in her shoulders. As a result, my client is pain free and has continued to build on her fitness and strength in her Pilates classes.

Just as fascia thrives on gentle movement and hydration, we too need renewal to stay open and adaptable.

Bowen Therapy offers space for softness and subtle shifts — not just in the body, but in how we move through life.

Because staying supple isn't just for muscles — it's a mindset.

Treating just the sore spot might offer short-term relief — but not long-term change.

That’s why Bowen Therapy considers your body as a whole system.

Sometimes what needs support isn’t what’s shouting the loudest.
