I've got spaces available on this Thursday 4th of September's Women's Circle at Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church. We'll be moving to clear energy centres, meditating to ground into source, and reflecting on a poem to glean insight. I would love to welcome you. So oddly, miraculously, the 'real' world falls away during the 'circles for embodied consciousness', through the process of movement, meditation and literary divination. Once again I had tears prickling at the end- there were so many synergies!!!

Key words: Indigo, Temperance, Peace, Sensuous Knowledge; Transition; New Beginnings: Haunches ( 😀) ###

We danced to clear, meditated to receive, and divined to perceive.

Our playlist included 'Root Down Deep', Body Wisdom', My Body is an Altar', and unexpectedly, the melancholic 'Indigo'. Our theme was 'sensuality ', and we connected into our senses in order to better channel a sense of Presence.

Next week our diamond- related theme is regality. Once again my aim is to support you to feel present, connected and renewed. We'll be at the 'Sun Room' in Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church, Thursday 4th September 630 to 8:00. Email Liesl@circleofthesevensenses.co.uk to attend. £15.00 per session.

So I just have to share the way I feel- I am high as a kite after taking Graziano's guest Latin Solo class at SK Studio on Redeness Street!!! Oh what a MAGICAL hour! Graziano put us all at ease, encouraged us to dance with our souls, and ran through the Rumba choreo again and again and again so we could feel and improve!

So honestly, I'm proud of myself- not that I didn't miss cues and steps etc, but I was THERE- and for a few phrases of the choreography, fully there! So my message is- don't wait until you feel good at something to have a go- our lives are quite literally lived in the moment, and if we wait until we think we won't embarrass ourselves to try that new thing or follow our passion- we'll miss our slot!!!

Huge thanks to the unbelievably gifted who continues to light the way for all of her students at SK Studio with precision, discipline and enormous love for this artform. And thank you for another inspiring class !!!! Honestly- there are not words for how fun that was!!!

I just got back from paddleboarding on the American River with my brother. There was almost no-one out- just a few kayakers, a pair of swans, some ducks and a brave swimmer. The water was cold! But I slid off the board to get in- it felt great until my toes went numb!

Everything in my head dropped away when I got back on the board- sun on my face, breeze against skin, water under oar.

When I'm outside in a beautiful space, I'm drawn to sink into the present. It leaves me feeling so peaceful.

I am looking forward to leading the final three sessions in my recent series of women's circles beginning Thursday evening, the 28th of August. My circles create space for women to sink deeply into the present moment through gentle, guided movement; meditation; and literary reflection.

We will continue to draw on the symbol of the diamond for inspiration:

28th of August- the theme is 'sensuality' and the literary reading is from Minna Salami's critical text Sensuous Knowledge.

4th of September- the theme is 'regality' and the literary reading will be Audre Lorde's full poem, 'Black Mother Woman'.

11th of September- the theme is 'radiance' , and the literary reading is from Abi Curtis' short story 'Pollinate'.

You will have an opportunity to reflect verbally, in writing, or through illustration.

So.... today I did something CHALLENGING! I'm here in California, and my dear family friend Carrie had invited me to hike up to the river canyon above Auburn, where we had spent many happy days with my Dad, stepmom and friends in our younger days.. But- the trails were overgrown with thick bramble and poison oak!!! So what we thought would be an hour long trip was nearly a three hour long trip up, as we hiked through the river, clambering over boulders, swimming through the deeper swim holes, (handbag with phone held high!!!,), and stumbling over mossy rocks.. we saw two snakes, funky crawdads, and adorable otters who sounded a sharp alarm when we appeared!! It was a seriously arduous journey, but if you could just imagine how we felt when we got to the waterfall that I last spied in 1991!!! I am grateful for the body that got me up here... thank you - I did lots of yogic squats on the way! Thank you - for challenging me to push in barre when the going gets tough. I drew on that ' keep on pushing, keep on focusing ' energy today!!! ! My whole body aches... I did fall on my derriere on a big rock on the way home- I was wearying! But- I am proud that we made it up! Dad would have been proud of me and his beloved friend Carrie H. 🙏

My next 'Women's Circle for Embodied Alignment' in a series of eight is this Thursday evening, 6:30 - 8:00. The overarching aim is to deepen our alignment with our spirit's path. X This series draws on diamonds for their symbolism and beauty in order to cultivate connectivity with our core. The experience includes gentle movement incorporating yoga and dance, cacao with meditation, and creative responses to Oracle Cards.
