Wow! What a Saturday we had to day? Today the clinic was fully booked and we still fitted in a few extra emergency cases. The atmosphere was made perfect by the most joyful, funny and brilliant patients🤩.

Funmi and Mamantsha had a full case load of nail surgery assessments, Paediatric musculoskeletal assessments , verrucas and lots of painful feet ! It is always a privilege to rid our patients of pain and get them back to doing what they love . Yesterday the team dined at the fabulous in Rayners Lane. We highly recommend this restaurant for authentic great tasting Sri Lankan food . Be warned - the food is hot 🥵 🔥.

It was a bitter sweet night as we said farewell to our super Podiatrist Simran . Simran has been with us from the first day we opened our doors almost 4 years ago and we are so so sad she is leaving.

However , we are, our team mates biggest cheer leaders and celebrate their successes and progress. So cheer we will 🎉. It’s not really a goodbye - she has promised to be available when we need her and we wouldn’t want it any other way ❤️❤️.

👣 Ingrown Toenails in Babies – Yes, It Can Happen! 👣

Today, we had a very little patient at the clinic – baby Ravi, just 3 months old! For the past two weeks, he had been struggling with a swollen, sore toe caused by an ingrown toenail. His worried parents visited the GP, who referred them to our team for expert care.

With a bit of planning (including a nice big feed for Ravi beforehand!), we were able to remove the ingrown nail quickly and painlessly. A sterile dressing was applied, and we advised mum and dad to switch to footless baby grows to reduce pressure on his tiny toes. We also taught them how to care for his toe at home, and we look forward to reviewing him in two weeks to ensure all is healing well.

Ingrown toenails can happen to babies too! If you notice redness, swelling, or discomfort in your little one’s toes, don’t hesitate to seek advice. Early treatment can prevent pain and complications. 💙

Today we are in the historic town of Liverpool for the Foot and Ankle Show . This is a conference for all clinicians involved in treating pathology of the foot and ankle .
It was extra special to meet the awesome Tyson Franklin the founder of the Podiatry Legends Podcast who travelled all the way from sunny Australia to give a lecture. It was an honour to be invited on this impactful podcast last year to talk about my transition from working as a Musculoskeletal Podiatrist Clinical Lead in the NHS to running a clinic with a superb team of Podiatrists. Tyson has been a great help with advice and guidance in all things business so It was lovely to meet him in person . Most importantly I got my Podiatry Legend cap 😅🥳🥳

We swapped turkey and sprouts for night out in London Town. We had an incredible time celebrating our teams Christmas celebration with watching The Devil Wears Prada at the Dominion Theatre . This for me was an extra special treat for the team following the overwhelmingly positive results from our patient feedback forms . Thank you to all our ChilternWellbeing patient family without you there is no us ❤️

This post is a few days late but still very important ☺️. Happy Birthday to our most precious Rani 🥰. I have know Rani for over 15 years and I can testify that she is not only beautiful inside and out but she is the kindest human you can meet. You deserve all that is good in the world and thank you for having faith in me and following me on the Chilternwellbeing journey. We all appreciate you. Last Friday the Chilternwellbeing Team went to the Biomechanics conference at the prestigious . This is was brilliant opportunity to learn from the best in the field of Gait Analysis and Biomechanics. We enjoyed exchanging case studies over coffee with Consultant Podiatric Surgeon and had a deep dive into the specifics of rehabilitation exercises and running cues from the Nick Knight of .

The three course gala meal was a lovely finish to seal the day. Thank you see you next year and well done to that’s 3 courses in a row for us !

Friday was the Launch of the Conference where we discussed everything related to the pioneering FootScan technology!

The FootScan takes Gait Analysis to a higher level accurately quantifying the amount of load occurring at any foot joint at any one time during the Gait Cycle . This is how we can either predict your risk of developing a foot injury or enables us to treat your injury if you have one .
Lovely meeting other like minded Podiatrists that I’ve only ever spoken to over social media .
