Today we sadly say goodbye to Kim Scottney who is working her last day at the pharmacy before moving on to a new job.🥹

Kim has always been an absolute pleasure to work with and we are thankful for all her hard work over the past few years.🤩

We will miss her boundless energy, her warm-hearted kindness, and of course her sense of humour! 😆

We are now taking bookings for our Flu vaccination service, which starts on Wednesday 1st October.

This is an appointment-only service.
To make an appointment, please contact us on 01663 744488 or call in to the pharmacy.

We are able to offer NHS flu jabs and also Private flu jabs.

🔵NHS vaccinations
Free NHS flu jabs are available to:
- everyone over the age of 65.
- patients aged between 18 and 64 who are in an 'at-risk' group.

✅Private vaccinations
- for patients who aren't eligible for a free NHS flu jab, we can offer a Private flu jab priced at £17.95

✴️Further information
▪️We ONLY offer Flu vaccinations. Unfortunately, we do NOT offer Covid vaccinations at our pharmacy.
▪️We are unable to vaccinate anyone under the age of 18.

Hayfield Pharmacy strongly supports the National Pharmacy Association's campaign.

Community pharmacies across the country are closing down at an alarming rate due to the chronic lack of funding from the government.

In England, 1400 community pharmacies have closed down in the last decade.
Currently, the situation is so bad that pharmacies are closing down at a rate of 10 per week (or over 500 per year)! Many more are sadly very close to breaking point.

This is developing into a growing crisis because local pharmacies are a lifeline for millions of people. Pharmacies dispense vital medication, provide healthcare advice (often saving lives when they spot signs of serious health issues), and can identify and treat minor ailments (thereby saving GP appointments for those who need them).

Pharmacies are at the heart of local communities and support people – particularly the vulnerable – in so many ways. The country simply cannot afford to lose any more of them. Once they are gone, they are gone forever.

Please like this post and share it to show your support for the NPA's campaign to demand fairer funding NOW for community pharmacies.

In the upcoming election, please consider this important and often forgotten sector of the healthcare system. What are your chosen parties and candidates proposing to do to address the gaps in pharmacy funding and protect the local pharmacy network here in High Peak?
