We have noticed a significant rise in abuse towards our reception team. Our Patient Advisors do their best under often very busy and challenging circumstances. Our team are trained to a high standard by our GP's who have asked our team to ask certain questions as part of our triage process, and to determine the right care at the right time.

PLEASE BE KIND AND CONSIDERATE AT ALL TIMES WHEN INTERACTING WITH OUR STAFF

We support the Governments zero tolerance policy for healthcare staff which states that GP's and their staff have a right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused.

We take the well being of our staff very seriously and patients are at risk of being removed from our list if they display rude, abusive or violent behaviour.
Thank you

Important announcement from Bodriggy Health Centre

We are sad to announce that our senior GP partner, Dr. Anne Maskell, will be retiring from the practice on 31st March 2025 after 30 years of dedicated service.

We understand that change can be unsettling, but we want to reassure you that your care will continue without disruption. Dr. Claire Mensing, who has been with us for 5 years, will be taking over your care moving forward. Dr. Mensing will be working on the same days as Dr. Maskell—Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

We want to thank Dr. Maskell for her invaluable contribution to our patients' care and wish her all the very best for the future!

We don't have a lot of outside space, but the little bit we do have is used regularly by patients and staff. Its maintained by one of our reception team who gives up her time voluntarily to maintain the little garden.
Thanks to our patients buying raffle tickets we have managed to buy herbs, fruit and flowers to make the area a little place of quiet whilst visiting the surgery.
**However**
It is a daily occurence that we have to clean up dog mess from this area. It is very unpleasant, particularly as some staff eat their lunch there.
Please can we ask that you do not let your dogs foul on this small area of our outdoor space (The small gravel area with the entrance on Queensway)
The space has been provided for everyone to enjoy, and we hope we can continue to make it a pleasant seating area for us all!
Thank you.
