A sweet highlight at Russettings Care Home last month!

The ice cream van brought smiles and delicious treats for our residents. We were also delighted to welcome the wonderful children from Buttercup Barn Nursery for a sunny, joyful visit. Everyone enjoyed tasty ice creams and lovely conversations — and those relaxing indoors didn’t miss out on their sweet cooling moments either!

Marco the Magician wowed us once again at Russettings! ✨

A firm favourite with residents and staff, Marco amazed us with his incredible tricks (we still don’t know how he does them!). There was plenty of laughter, audience participation, and even a sing-along to classic favourites - the perfect way to enjoy a sunny afternoon! 🎩🎶🌞

May Photo Dump!

May was full of joy and sunshine! We kicked off with VE Day crafts, bunting and reminiscing over childhood street parties. Our new monthly minibus trips began with a lovely outing to a garden centre - sunshine, snacks, and chats with friendly dogs! Back home, we cooked up delicious treats, shared laughs in the garden, and soaked up the spring sun with ice cream in hand. 🌸🇬🇧🚌🍦

Looking forward to sharing what June had in store for our residents!

November Highlights at Russettings! 🌟

From cosy Bonfire suppers to festive outings and heartfelt Remembrance Day tributes, November was filled with special moments for our residents. We wrapped up the month in style with the Big Russettings Christmas Party, featuring a live band and a delicious buffet! 🎄🎶

Russettings Care Home was featured in Sussex World! 🌞

We were thrilled to indulge in a vibrant Caribbean BBQ and the sweet sounds of steel drums last month! 🎶🌴

The sun came out just in time, creating the perfect atmosphere for a fantastic steel drum performance playing Caribbean favourites and summer hits. Our resident chef Miguel and his talented team brought authentic flavours to life with delicious jerk chicken, vegetarian skewers, and rice & beans! 🍗🥗

Russettings said goodbye to Summer 2024 last Saturday, with a Caribbean BBQ and steel drums.

Summer has arrived, and Wimbledon excitement is in the air! At Russettings, we’ve been busy baking delicious apple turnovers, blueberry muffins, and cheese straws. Our mini bus trip took residents to Raystead Animal Sanctuary, where we had a wonderful day. We also enjoyed the annual Balcombe Fete, with its dog and pony show, vintage cars, and fun stalls. Ice cream and afternoon tea were highlights, and we were lucky to have sunshine all day!

Russettings Care Home enthusiastically celebrated National Care Week with a range of engaging activities. Highlights this month included a vintage E-Type Jaguar visit, a lively Ho Down, and a delightful Summer BBQ with special guests Finley and Albi the alpacas. Lady Mayoress Stephanie, introduced by Director Sean Hurden, officially opened the BBQ event. Residents enjoyed delicious food and live music in the sunshine.

Yeehaw! We had a blast at the Russettings Ho Down! We had a delicious Cowboy Pie lunch followed by Birdie singing country and western tunes for everyone. Thanks to everyone who joined the fun! 🤠🎶
