In September Adam Blackburn and Olivia Osborne will be taking on Tough Mudder on behalf of Bott's Opticians. We will be raising money for a wonderful local men's mental health charity ManKind. Any support/ donations will be greatly received.

I know how much mental health has effected everyone , but men we are really bad at talking about our feelings and how we are been affected, and this charity is a great local charity and personally I wish one of my close friends had had the opportunity to talk through things with them ❤️.

When asked about the new eye test he said, “ The detail that our optometrist is able to get with the new eye test is incredible, it really does mean that your prescription is as unique as you are. In turn this also means that when combined with the state of the art Rodenstock lenses that we’re able to dispense you really will experience the best possible vision with your new glasses.”

Arron is our Optometrist.
Today we've asked him to explain how the new equipment we use in the eye test works. “We use a DNEye scanner to measure the anatomy and the refractive error of the eyes first. After which the R80 phoropter to fine tune the prescription. It is done remotely with a head rest, and this minimalises the contact with the practitioner and is comfortable for the patient during the sight test, eliminating heavy frames and lenses on the patient face. The scanner and the phoropter combined allow us to provide the prescription to the 0.01 accuracy. This enables us to give you the most accurate eye test currently available. This combined with the state of the art lenses we use means that your glasses will give you the best possible vision.”

If you've been following us for a while you'll know that we've recently introduced a new and improved eye test.

We asked Carrie, our Practice Manager, for her thoughts on our new eye test and she said; “I am excited for our customers to experience our new service. The new eye test is at the cutting edge of what’s currently available and means that not only will they get to find their exact prescription but they’ll also receive an eye health check which helps us pick up on any issues before they become serious.”

Carrie’s advice when it comes to choosing your next pair of glasses is to make sure that you feel comfortable wearing them. If you’re not sure then please do ask us for advice as with our frame styling experience and lens knowledge we can help you find the perfect pair of spectacles.

Carrie has over 20 years experience in Optics and has been with Optical Revolution for nearly 3 years. She studied dispensing optics at Anglia Ruskin university. With her frame styling and lens expertise she will be able to help you with your all aspects of your spectacles.
